    The Ordering and Delivery Experience
The process of acquiring the F2 FOB from ezimmoblock.com was exceptionally smooth from start to finish. Navigating the website and completing the order was straightforward, resulting in a hassle-free purchasing experience. I received an immediate email confirmation, which was a welcome assurance that my order had been successfully received. The product arrived securely packaged in a simple envelope in just a few days, well within a reasonable timeframe. The efficiency and communication throughout this initial phase set a high standard.

The Programming Process and a Moment of Discovery
The true test of a product like this is its functionality, and the F2 FOB's programming procedure is designed to be simple and direct. The instructions are clear: hold the new F2 FOB and the original donor FOB, press both buttons simultaneously, and release when the F2's LED begins to flash.
During my initial attempt to program the fob, a humorous learning experience occurred. While documenting the process, I discovered a feature of my Ferrari 360's alarm system—holding a button on the fob for more than three seconds triggers the alarm. I was not aware of this "feature," and panic set in for a few minutes. Not knowing how to deactivate the alarm, I let it run its course until it eventually stopped. Of course, I tried again and, while testing my second fob, set off the alarm once more.

Once I realized the error was on my end, I followed the instructions precisely, programming the F2 FOB away from the car. The process was exactly as described: I held down the buttons on both the original and the F2, released them when the light flashed, and the new fob was successfully programmed. The ease of the process became truly apparent when I returned to the garage and successfully switched functionality between the two fobs with three presses of the button on each.

Afterward, I found this in the 360 Spider workshop manual:
    AUXILIARY FUNCTIONS. Panic Function
An important characteristic of the system is its use in case of help or danger. By pressing the remote control for 3 seconds, the car activates the siren and the flashing of the direction indicators to signal that the car owner is in danger. The sequence is interrupted by pressing the remote control button for a further 3 seconds. Note: On cars bound for Belgium, this option is not active.
I had no idea the car had a panic feature! I felt a bit foolish trying to shut off the alarm by pressing buttons on all three fobs, starting the car, and even disconnecting the battery—but the alarm kept going. Now I know that holding the button down for 3 seconds both activates and deactivates the alarm.

    Distance Test
I tested the original and the new F2 fob at 5, 10, and 15 feet. At 20 feet, neither worked. As I walked closer, I found that both worked at 16 feet but not 17 feet. I know this is dependent on the car, so your experience may be different. When I had a 2002 Modena, before the Spider, I uncurled the white wire receiver antenna to get more distance. The fobs for that car only worked at 5 feet until I "fixed" the antenna, and then I got about 15 feet.

    Conclusion
The F2 FOB delivers on its promise of a simple and effective solution for a replacement key fob. The company's ordering and delivery process is efficient and reliable. While my experience included a humorous learning curve about my own vehicle, the F2's programming process itself was incredibly easy and successful once I followed the instructions precisely.

The only difference I've found so far, after three days of use, is that the "panic" option is not included with the F2. This could be considered good or bad depending on your point of view. I never knew I had it, so it's not a loss for me.

The F2 is a well-designed, reliable product that offers a seamless user experience. My one key takeaway: program the new F2 FOB away from the car.

I hope someday the maker of this product can also figure out how to get the sacred immobilizer pin wirelessly without having to send equipment away!

Note: I paid full price on the website for the F2 FOB. I am not associated with the company or the owner in any way, nor have I asked for or received a discount of any type.
