I just saw the film and enjoyed it. Being an emergency physician at a trauma center I thought the wound care of Lauda's facial/head burns was pretty good. It captured the essence of his pain. Made me want to go drive my red car around.

On a slightly different note I would say it is very important to support automotive related projects such as this. The auto enthusiast community usually never gets any representation when it comes to quality television or movie production. The Fast and Furious franchise is proof of that. So lets support good efforts such as Rush in the hopes of spawning more similar projects in the future.

Will get the DVD and watch it when the weather is too nasty for skiing... let alone driving a sports car.

Just saw it last night with my wife. I thought it was fantastic. So did she.

I thought it was fascinating thinking about how they did the racing sequences, how they got the period cars, the period sets on the racetracks... I thought it was brilliant.

    Indeed.

IMVHO motion pictures are an art form. As such, those viewing can have their own unique experience. each viewer's experience is valid.

a reviewer maybe able to put a movie in a historical context which may or may not be valid or helpful.

I have a cousin who is a movie critic. you really need to know a critic's biases to be able to really understand the critique. Of course, this is rarely if ever divulged to the unsuspecting reader.

    Caveate Emptor movie goers.
