Good afternoon. Took my 348 for probably a last chance weekend drive before they salt the roads for winter and noticed that the revs were holding high on the gearchange, i.e. revs were'n't dropping back immediately when taking your foot off the pedal, and when dropping back, were slow to do so.

It was a cold day and noticed the car was running cooler than normal, so maybe the ECU's are sensing too cold? Checked peddle, spring return on the linkage etc and all seem ok.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

Foot mat jammed against the pedal? The pedal itself can get sticky from old grease there is a thread or two I have seen on this issue actually. Possibilities at least.

No definitely not that as I checked all those items and I completely refurbed the pedal not long ago

Did you replace the cable when you did your refurb? I replaced mine (355) recently as it was starting to fray.

How is the spring at the throttle end? Are the butterflies moving smoothly.

my guess... air leak somewhere... hoses, most plausible. or sticky idle control valve?
