Yes, this is my third annual request to you guys on the inside of the vintage Ferrari market. The recent article on the 250GT PF II restoration in Forza has only piqued my resolve.

I am willing to pay top (but fair) dollar for a completely restored car. I really do not have the expertise to complete a restoration or to take a car to the next level beyond relatively simple cosmetics.

Any leads will be taken seriously and will be followed-up in a timely manner with discretion.

I really appreciate all of your advice and insights.

    Respectfully,

    Rob

    Rob,

I presume you are refering to the cabriolet. I heard rumor that the featured cabriolet may be for sale.

Yes. I am referring to the Cabriolet. How would you recommend that I stay in that loop?

Did'nt Autosport (sp?) in New York show a really nice silver / red at Cavallino Classic this year in Fla? Then I thought I heard it was for sale at their dealer....

This one cought my eye becuase I have been looking for one also...its just that I want that car for around 100k...not the 280 or so the nice ones are going for!

Ferrari of Beverly Hills has one for sale on their website. It's a black on black (not original colors) that they are currently restoring and listing for $300,000. Link: http://www.ferraribeverlyhills.com/inventory.htm

RPM Vermont has a black one listed for sale on their website also. They want $320,000 for it. rpmvt.com
*I just noticed that they don't have it listed on their website anymore. You may want to give them a call.

Have any of you guys heard about www.healeywerks.com.

They have a 250 gt PF II that is in need of a restoration. They want to do the work and they have more experience in Healey than Ferraris.

Would I be better off buying it as is and giving it to someone else to restore?

I would prefer someone near me in New York. Who would be best in the New York City Area? Berlinetta Motorcars in Long Island?

    Rob,

In the NY area, there are several very good shops. I use F. Sicard, he only does the old V-12's

I have no idea. And I am not even sure if I would trust the answer I got.

    Best,
