Well it seems that the GTO badge has caught up with market..... At least in the U.K! Used Ferrari 599 6.0 F1 GTO 2dr for sale in Middlesex | Pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/ferrari/599/ferrari-599-gto-r-h-d-v12-2010/4535394
Good value to hear for the GTO owners.... GTO deserves to have this value. She is just one of the best Ferrari ever made.
Beautiful car ... It has been there for a little while (as well as on eBay) and the price has gone down a little already. Other GTOs out there are still advertise in the 400k plus region ...
There is one LHD for sale at thesupercarrooms.co.uk for 450k with c.11k miles on the clock ... been there for a while ...
I am following the market for a 1.5 year already, it is completely frozen since June. There are 21 GTO's for sale in Europe, prices are starting to decline - one seller (very well known : deWidehem) decrease price from 690.000€ to 560.000€ last week.
I see LHD cars at around £400k in Europe on various sites, so is that not a very big premium for RHD?
I checked Autoscout (English version) and they had 6 GTO's for sale between $550K-$890K (Euros). The $890K GTO is a beautiful nero model and doesn't appear to be RHD. I don't even know if these cars are available and none of the less expensive cars are low mileage (which in my opinion means no more than 1K miles per year). Where are you finding 21 GTO's for sale in Europe ? In the US there are only 2 for sale publicly (to the best of my knowledge) and the silver one at Marshall Goldman at $695K is the least expensive of the 2 (the other being a 7900 mile GTO at Algar with a $715K AP). Just a total lack of US spec GTO's for simply for sale right now. Pretty sure that a US spec GTO for sale at $560K wouldn't last more than 24 hours on the market now regardless of spec unless it had out of the ordinary high mileage on it. Whats the mileage on the GTO that was just reduced to $560K Euros ? Can you post a link to the advertisement ?
Looked at the deWidehem website and (unless I'm reading it incorrectly) the GTO price is $660K euros and she has 8100 KM on her.
The price of the silver one at Marshall Goldman actually increased to 729k (as per my friend who earlier spoke to the same sales guy who quoted $695k a couple weeks ago). Is the one at Algar sold since it was taken off the autotrader listing?
Some might think I am crazy, but i am following GTO prices in Europe and USA regularly - i just find it interesting . Just to avoid misunderstanding : I am actually a very happy owner of a 599 GTO with 8000 km that i am not planning to sell (ever). You can find more GTO's for sale here : Ferrari gto offers on mobile.de Used Ferrari 599 cars for sale with PistonHeads FERRARI occasion: Recherche de voitures d'occasion et neuves Acheter marché de voitures - AutoScout24 Annonces You can find on mobile.de the car of deWidehem that is for sale since 25/06/2015, original price was 690.000€ decreased 2 days ago to 560.000€. On their webpage it is sold for 660.000€ so obviously there is something wrong. Anyway, few sellers decreased prices in the last few weeks instead of increasing, therefore i believe this is a general trend that will unfortunately continue. It might change when people will realize the new F12 will not be called GTO. Annonce FERRARI 599 GTO V12 6.0 F1 670 Essence - 660000 ? I checked the replacement price for my insurance. I called several dealers, main and independent. The consensus was if I had to go into the market and buy my car, I would need around 700K GBP. Hence my price point quoted. As I've zero intention of selling the figure is a pain as it means my damn premium keep climbing, now near 6K GBP pa. A nice problem to have perhaps but a pain nonetheless. One dealer pushed me to sell and unprompted offered me 550K GBP cash. Admired his wasted effort. But confirmed current sentiment for a UK supplied RHD example.
My point was not to cast aspersions on RHD prices/values but to comment on the massive discrepancy between LHD and RHD prices and the questions that flow from that.
I increased my replacement value effective 8/1 to $700k US but I'm not so sure I could buy a Nero Setoso US spec car with approx 3400 miles on her for that figure. Been awhile since I've seen any Nero US GTO for sale. As far as Algar GTO I don't know if it sold.
