    WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spend over six figures on the restoration, and the car will be worth 20-25K, after all of the work.

You might make some $$$, on parting the car out, as-is :D

Eric, no offense to you are your cars. But WHY would you get into a money PIT when you can buy a pretty much perfect car needing nothing for around $35K against this for $15K..unless you just enjoy spending money and doing non OEM repair work and parts your self..?

    http://www.catsexotics.com/web/1317/vehicle/698585/1975-Lamborghini-Urraco-

Same with your Diablo SV for sale..it has a salvaged title, non OEM parts added to it...Fiberglass bonded to Aluminum..not completely put back together and from the pics "appears" the passanger side may have had frame damage..?

FROM YOUR POST "The body is aluminum , it has a carbin fiber piece of a quarter panel from a 6.0 expoxy glued bonded to the corner along with 6.0 lights and bezels on there as well ,also it has a aftermarket front bumper that is fiberglass , So its far from original , But it runs and drives perfectly, and to say its extremely fast is a understatement . it will not go for less than $ 55K ."

Please educate me here.. HOW could this SV be worth $55K? When you compare it to this I have up for offer currently..? Again not beening rude, just trying to figure out the thought process here on this...and any others comments welcome as well..maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.?

It is a 1997 1/2 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster. 16,825 orginal miles. I purchased it in July of this year. When it arrived I had the following done to it.

Full fluids and filters, interior pulled and re-condiitoned with some re-spray, all wheels repaired from scrapes, mounted and re-balanced. Rear wing removed and re-sprayed due to numerous chips and cracks. Passanger side door latch and lock replaced as it was in-op.

The car was orginal purple and HAS been fully re-painted in OEM SIlver..it is of very very good quailty and was costly, but it has had a color change.

There was a lot of work done to the car by the previous owner in May of 2010, full engine out service, new clutch-Kevlar, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, all new belts, hoses, plugs, air filters, fuel filters, all the fluids, door & engine gas struts, Alpine speakers, paint touch up (front spoiler), etc, etc.

My PPI via authorized Lamborghini Dealer revealed the following..(copy available)

    1) Slight coolant leak from driver front side head
    2) Slight oil leak from drivers side head area
    3) Front lift systme in-op (shocks are fine)
    4) Horn in-op

The carbon engine surrounds are missing. The carbon engine surrounds were stolen from a shop where the car was being worked on before I owned the car. Here are a pictures.

Car runs strong and all other items work..this is a perfect car for someone that wants a Lambo and is not looking for THE PERFECT car. It is priced accordingly. Watch the fluid levels....or do the repairs yourself..repair the in-op lift system..or dont use it..I hardly do on my Diablos anyways. The car has a clean car fax, no salvaged title and it has no accident history.

    Cool Urraco because it's RHD.
But as an owner............... this car and the Green Espada with the vette (or camaro) motor
........stay away from these cars unless they pratically give them away. You'll still be upside down but it would be worth it for the DIY'er with occasional help from a shop.
Understand that pretty much nothing is available.

If it is given away for free, with a McDonald's $20.00 gift card, the RHD Uracco is a loser, as a restoration candidate ;).

I would take it for free, without the gift card, drive the sht out of it until it died, then use it as lawn art before I would turn it down for free! It is probably worth the asking price for somebody to part it out, although that would be a shame.

Send it to Jeremy Clarkson. He certainly knows how to make mince meat out of unloved exotics.

Peter, the green S1 with a Chevalini in it is gone. They have another Espada over there.

    understood
i personally think it is a good idea to sell the SV to buy a countach
the countach is slower but it is more entertaining and demanding to drive
if you can try to find an old carbed car in neeeds of cosmetic and well running go for it
try to avoid cars with bad-broken engines at all costs!

i would love to see pics of your progress with the diablo
if you can post them i would appreciate it

Whats the real story on this car, does anyone know? Does anyone know its history? Has anyone inspected the car? driven it?

Please refrain from the typical "this car is worthless rant" does anyone know this car personally? I have a partner interested in it.. And yes he is a mechanic and has his own shop.
    Thanks

Yes it is an Urraco and yes it is a Lamborghini. But RHD on our roads, especially 2 lane, is just not fun.

If anyone knows the VIN, I might be able to trace its history as I have a lot of details about RHD cars. I've contacted Gullwing Motors too many times as a non-buyer asking for VIN info for my personal Lamborghini register, so I'm reluctant to do so again.
I'd buy it in order to save it, because it is after all a Lambo, but not at 15k. The amount of work it needs done would suggest a realistic price of $1 in order to take it off their hands:)
I find it kind of sad that cars that have had production runs numbering only in the hundreds are being broken up, even if I do understand the business logic of it. These sort of cars are about the heart as much as the head, and this specific car, just like the Chevy-engined Espada, are ones that evoke real conflict between the two.

I wonder where the light metallic green S1 Espada went?

..................................................................I had a RHD car , + you have a point , when on a main road, say 2 lanes on each side , and you have to stop at a intersection to make a left , especially if there is a car on the other side making a left too , its very difficult to see around that vehicle to view the cars going around him ,Downright dangerous , So i refrained from putting myself in that position, I`d rather just go around the block. This is really the first time I got to see the Urraco dashboard , i like the lay out ,

Having done a full resto on Urraco.......its not worth it, seeing its the cousin of the GT4, its slower, handles worse and about as reliable as a Bali rolex
