Why does he need a new seat since he had a 2013 seat only a month or two ago unless its for the 2014....

Massa's is the best seat in F1.
Apparently Once you're in it you can't be removed.

Serious or not it is certainly a transitory state.

Interesting. Kimi complains very much if the car is not right. If they think he is an improvement over FA in that department they should talk to Lotus about the work they did on the steering.

Its all a risk for any moves and more so with the new formula next year.

If they want Ricciardo they can alter the car. Id be amazed if there is no flexibility in the RB design for different human frames. The drivers are human and not all the same.

I can only hope Ferrari has the insight NOT to re-hire Kimi. I don't want drivers that don't care that they drive for Ferrari. Enzo wouldn't either.

LdM is the road-block. He let him go. Why would he - rehire a guy he let go. Looks bad and big EGO"s have issue with that.

It is F1 though and stranger things have become reality!

Probably cheaper/easier to alter Ricciardo's "frame" ... amazing that his backside is wider than Mark's though.

Obviously Ricci needs a Gurney Bubble (well, in the appropriate area).

Maybe if he wears a race suit with the lower half in black....

Friends tell me this assists in reducing the concern.

    I wouldn't know.....;)

    Uh..huh. ;)

    The whole story kinda begs more Q's to me though;

Reported by who? Why is it "more problematic"?.... ;)

    I Googled, didn't find anything....

Now we know why there's never been a female WDC!.... Her hips were too wide! :D

What a complete & utter crock o' ****!..... I'm sorry, Danny Boys hips are a "problem"!

    Cheers,
    Ian
[Checking to see if its April 1st ;)]

I have to agree, I think he doesn't care about the history, heritage of the Ferrari brand. He wants a fast car and that's it. You got guys like Vettel and Button who would like to drive for Ferrari one day and you had guys like Fisichella, Badoer and Alesi that were very passionate but didn't work out for different reasons.

Does nobody else remember the 1995 McLaren and Nigel Mansell? When McLaren enticed Nige back from IndyCars to F1 for the 1995 season, they found too late that he didn't fit in the new 1995 McLaren 4/10 car because it was too narrow for him to fit down in the seat. It was 3 races before they were able to produce a new carbon fiber monocoque with a wider section at the seat for him to fit, and Mark Blundell drove alongside Mika Hakkinen in the first 2 races while Mansell sat out and waited for the "wider" car to be built. (Equally famously, Mansell only did 2 races in the wide body MP4/10 before retiring for good from F1, and Blundell finished the season in the second McLaren seat).

If having a fast car and winning does that not add to the heritage and history of ferrari.. also it seems although many discount the fact that kimi IS ferraris last worlds champion.. regardless of all other theories.. I seem to recall a certain ron dennis say.. 2nd is the first of the losers.. what matters is the end result.. alonso in all his "greatness" has not achieved it.. that's the bottom line..

If Kimi would post a teary eyed video and goes on about emotions and history of Mondial chassis numbers would he be fit to drive enough?

Actually, I agree. Lets keep Felipe ''what do you mean, the throttle can go down further?'' Massa on because he speaks italian rather than a consistently fast fin who doesn't.

   .

FYI there was a video online when he was still racing for Ferrari and went on about some of the classic Ferrari's. Just because he appears disinterested doesn't mean he isn't.
