Just a short entry because we are all turning in...there will be many more comments BUT..... this has started out to be a FABULOUS weekend. I just returned from our Flemings dinner. They do such a great job. As mentioned, the cars gathered to cruise through Richmond's old cobblestone street restaurant/ club area. AWESOME reception and TV cameras, people asking us to rev up our TUBIs..cruise to Flemings via an expressway with a 1/4 mile underpass..suffice to say I hit the rev limiter and power shut off ..never done that before..welcome to Monaco ..what a sound. Arrival at Flemings we were greeted by the staff, cooks, chef, wait staff out to have a look and greet us, and lots of friendly onlookers. Great camraderie, drinks, sounds, steaks, wine...did I say drinks, just the best gathering..did I say sounds..sounded like the Battle of Britain starting up to depart from Flemings. Others will comment with greater eloquence ..but they are at the hospitality suite or still carousing after having corraled their steeds for the evening! More later...thanks to John Dowling for coordinating a great couple of days...and no newsletter that we have to prepare for..HAHAHA

    Ciao..later

    Chris

Jusat got back from the show at Browns Island. Thank you to all of you who brought cars to the show. What a sight to see all of the Ferrari's come in at once! Simply fantastic! You all made a really good show into a great show.

Having restored a number of British cars, I go to this show often. Most years I am reminded, by the owners of the cars, of how special they think they (the owners) are. LOL!!! This year, I chatted with a number of Ferrari owners and I was amazed by the difference. The Ferrari owners were talking about the cars, not themselves. Very refreshing because it is all about the cars.

Again - Thank You from Richmond

It was a great show and the weather could not have been better! From the marketing of the show to the NoVa and MD folks, to the hotel, the dinner, the parade in the event was fantastic. It was defintiely worth the trip down and we will come back.

John - thanks for making everyone feel welcome.

Maranelloboy and BillPO..yes indeed that is my 355. Swaters blue is an incredible color. In the sun it just explodes with lots of hues depending on the angle. I love TDF as well but the Swaters is very unusual and kind of alive..

thanks for the pics, vote and comment..fortunate to currently be caring for this art work created in Italy, to share here..

    Ciao..

Thank you John for bringing it all together, the Ferrari parade, the dinner venue, the show, the secret trash can, hanging out around all those beautiful cars with friends, all were great and very enjoyable, hope we can have it again next year! I'd say that was a rather beautiful display!

    Many kudos,
    Laura
