Car drives very well now. Steering is even more precise and direct. Still somewhat tail happy if you get on the power too soon and a little too much (this is subjective and I'm just comparing to 997.1 RS, a car with engine sits on top of the rear wheel that has 305 width tires). I plan to swap the 3 years old Pirellis with fresh rubber, MPSS, sometime next month because car needs some attention with these old tires, imo.

After a thousand miles within a month, I'm very happy with the purchase! :) Car is addicting to drive and quite involving (I think it is more so than my 996 GT3 with no driving aids). By the way, I used the alignment spec that Rad posted in my other thread but with 20mm ride height drop.

EDIT: Went to local Cars and Coffee and someone took a video. Stock ride height is there, http://youtu.be/YDPAC6obqqw :D

    Cheers!

Do you how many inches you lowered the car. Looks awesome.

Thanks... It's 20mm drop, about half an inch, from the stock height that F430GT posted on my other thread. Not a lot but I like it since it still clear most of the dips and driveways around where I live. It can be lowered more and we checked.

    Thanks for your insights/comments!

Doubtful your rear tires, at least, are 3 years old. The Corsas were recalled (don't know the date) and replaced with a revised version. Fronts may or may not have been also replaced during the recall depending on tread wear (<50%).

nice job Ken. You will notice that as soon as you're on MPSS or RE-11 (I do prefer MPSS now that they offer more sizes, 255/30 and 305/30 on stock wheels), the happy tail will be gone.

When I run my car on used-up Hoosiers, the tail is out of control, and the understeer is out of control as well, it feels like driving on ice. That's just a tire problem.

The car has much better traction out of turns than a GT3 or GT3 RS, it just needs good tires. This good traction is what allows me to get on full gas earlier than my GT3 friends on track days, and they feel like my car has too much power, when the reality is that my car has been on full gas from much earlier due to the available traction.

20mm drop takes just 8 turns down on each spring perche, then reset the corner weights, then align, and the result is a better car.

Mine is lowered much more than that, but I run on much stiffer springs, modified shocks and solid bushings.

I'll PM you on the brake pads.

Without using launch control, I did some drag racing against GT3 RS 3.8, GT3 3.8, a C6 Z06 with drag racing slicks and engine work, and an Lancer Evo that beat everybody (including two Nissan GTR that night). The Scuderia did not lose a single drag race, no LC used, the car has better traction than a GT3/GT3 RS.

The e-Diff is one of the best performance components in the Scuderia.
