i was leaving a restaurant last nite and as i pulled out to the exit i banged into a raised sewer plate. after which i looked back and this thing was like 8" high. it hit hard front and rear. when i got home i looked under the car and could, thankfully, see no damage. today i put the car up in the air and did a more through inspection and again no damage just a few scrapes. now, for the sake of conversation, had i sustained any real damage would the owners of the shopping center be libel. has anyone been in this situation.

I redid my suspension and finished just in time for a club drive. I had the front end a little too low and knew it but didn't have time to raise it up. While on the drive I bottomed out hard more than once. One time I thought for sure I had done some serious damage. Kept driving and watching the gauges but all was well.

Bottom line is there really is nothing that hangs lower than the front air dam or the frame in the rear. You'd have to hit something just right to do any real damage.

It is a pain when you find those manhole covers though! We've got one here in the middle of a long sweeping curve with the speed limit at 50mph. One of these days someone is going to hit it just a little too fast when it's wet out and cause an accident.
