My 71 Euro GT (01712...early M-Series) has a Right Fan Warning light at the bottom of the tachometer (bottom left, amber light). I can't seem to find out what it means when it's on. It comes on when I depress the Right Fan Switch, but not when I depress the Left Fan Switch. If there's a Right Fan Warning light, what am I missing that there wouldn't be something for the left ventilation fan?

I should note that I have very, very faint airflow from the top right vent when the Right Fan Switch is down. And no detectable airflow from the top left or bottom left vents.

Its not a warning, but rather an indication the fan is on.

Faint airflow? I think that means its operating properly (LOL)
You might have a look behind the Tach on that left side light bulb.

If the light is an indication the fan is on, why only have one for the right (passenger) side fan? The owners manual actually does specifically refer to it as "Right Fan"

Both fan motors operate just fine, so I'm suspecting that the rust on the Fresh Air Intake Control Valve holding screw might just have the valve frozen shut.

Any suggestion on how to (easily) remove the ventilation fans? I want to refinish them and that whole inner fender area (strip off old decaying undercoating) and refinish inside wheel well with new rust primer/paint/undercoating. I'm also trying to remove the ventilation hose to see if that valve is frozen shut, but having a heck of a time.

The reason why there is only a indication light for the right fan is:
The 246 GT started with only having one right fan (L-Series).
The M- and E- Series got also a left fan, but the instruments have not changed.

    See picture from the L-series

Dino Register says Invoice Date Mar 30, 1971 to an owner in Milano, Italy.

It appears that my car be (3) after yours...
    1706 (yours)
    1708
    1710
    1712 (mine)

It turns out the Fresh Air Intake Control Valve, although a little stiff, operates fine when I disconnect the cable. So it appears the issue may be further upstream, which is unfortunate because I'm not comfortable taking apart the dash. So for now, I'm leaving it with the Fresh Air Intake Control Valve set to full open until I, or someone with experience, tackles dashboard/instrument issues.

The right fan is the "heating fan", whereas the left one is just the "ventilating fan", so Ferrari added an orange warning light (all red/orange/yellow colors are considered as warning colors for dash instruments and lights) to signal the driver that the heating has been activated.

Both fans first go to the air distribution via the air control valve so the cold air from the left fan is available at all vents as is the heated air from the right fan, the fans are not directly linked to each sides vents as one could presume from the naming.

In theory you can activate both fans via one switch (as in the later Dinos after '72 where the other switch was used for the hazard light) and still only get cold air if you use the middle lever to deactive the hot water tap to the heater unit but in many Dinos (including mine) the hot water tap does not really work well (or the control wire is out of whack) so you still might end up getting only warm air.
