Right time, right place...

Sometimes, one gets lucky - normally it's not me. But last week, I came across these two at a price that's lower than the Elite versions' MSRP. In fact, with shipping, they cost less than most Elites sell for on Ebay

Review and closeups when I find some time... As with the Mondial I reviewed recently, my position still stands that unless you can get a Super Elite at Kyosho prices, they are really not worth the supposed extra detail. And as some will point out, depending on the model, even at Kyosho prices they don't match the Kyoshos - but Kyosho doesn't have all the Ferraris HW has in 1/18.

It certainly is the more amazing of the two... A couple of disappointments though...
1) the grille openings in the front and rear fenders have a solid mesh! The BBR Enzo does better with an actual wire mesh
2) the dashboard and center console looks as cheap as the base HW version - just has more paint

Also, the hood hinge is very crude...

 

Speaking of good finds - someone got a great deal on the GMP P4 on ebay. It certainly seems like the diecast model market (even the Ferrari ones) are drying up... I haven't had good luck selling some of mine either.

Someone else got a BBR F430 at a good price too!
