    looks like he stalled going crosswind to downwind, probably distracted buy knowing he was going to have to make an emergency landing after breaking his gear after a hard touch and go. Sad

    Its chilling to hear him laughing with the tower about being a "real pilot" around the 20 min mark of the tape.. he comes on frequency about 17 min in, hes in the ground around 23 min...

    It happens more than it makes the news.

    A few months ago we were a 00:00 departure when our line guys said to call our pax because a plane just crashed on the runway and it isnt going anywhere soon. This happened directly across the runway from us and didnt hear a thing.

    I stepped out and looked over by the tower......yup, a Barron on its nose. Few minutes later, Airport Ops drove up and asked if we had seen the pilot (nope).

    Guy crashed his plane with pax, got a ride to the FBO from who knows, then get this......runs off! They got into a car and bolted. Hours later, there is a crane lifting the plane off the runway and we get word that the pilot came back as he left his wallet in the cockpit.

    5AM the runway opens back up and we head off the TEB.
