I think the loss of Frank Williams is sad, but as many have said, he was not well, and since his wife passed, I think he found life more frustrating than joy. I remember once back in 1991, at Phoenix I was walking to the track and in front of me was Frank and "digger" his assistant - who pushed him in the wheelchair. It was just the two of them, and I said "Frank, how do you like Mansell's chances here?" and he said,"I think we'll be ok, but not great, Senna and those Bloody McLarens are the ones to watch, Ferrari I think have lost the plot" As we walked he then said, for an American, you're quite aware of F-1 why is that? so we chatted for the next two blocks, right into the Paddock. "lovely to chat" and that was it.
