    I was scheduled to instruct at lime rock with scda this Monday. tragically, I received an absolutely horrible email yesterday telling me the event was cancelled due to the unexpected death of founder and president, ian prout.

    I have known the prout family almost since they founded scda in the late 1990's. I always loved the fact that they were a family who love cars and racing together. ians mother worked registration, his father was chief instructor, and his sister worked pit lane. the addition of elivan only made things even better.

    ian was a fantastic driver, racer, business founder who will be greatly missed. scda has cancelled the next few events while they grieve their loss but will be back doing what ian loved most soon. let us all support them the best we can.

    Ian was one of the most caring a fun guys to share a beer with after a day at the track. He will be greatly missed in the community. I have been participating and instructing with Ian and the SCDA since 2002. Working with Ian and his family was always a highlight of my season. RIP.

    I very saddened to hear this, Ian was a great guy. My thoughts and condolences go out to the Prout family.

    Elivan and the family will be continuing the SCDA which is a great track group.

    was just instructing with them at lrp and was great to see his family still working the event and holding up as well as can be expected.

    Yep Ann is the backbone, they were all at the glenn Elivan did a great job and the SCDA continues.

    Really the best trackday org in the NE.

    I was just at an scda event yesterday and heard this sad news. Ian was always cheery, welcoming and thanked me for attending their events. Elivan and the crew put on an A+ Track day and I look forward to the next one.
