    Went to the gym this morning...came home around 7:30, my fiancee was crying. "Oynx is dying, I think". Old girl was on the floor by the sliding door breathing hard, her tongue sticking out...collapsed. She collapsed in the yard yesterday and finally came back in after a while. She could not use her limbs and we had to get her to the car using towels and walking her. She hadn't been eating much lately. My fiancee is a wreck, we've had Onyx for 8 years since we bought our first house (she was approx 5 when we got her). She was my first dog as an adult. We euthanized her at approximately 10am today. Was very calm. Her partner, Max, isn't noticing anything...yet. He's old, too.

    Sleep well, sweetie. In heaven there are no more thunderstorms to be afraid of! We miss you.

    Jeez, I can REALLY relate to that, sorry about your loss. We had to have our old girl, Gretchen, put down over the 4th of July. She was also terrified of thunderstorms, and fireworks, and we had a huge thunderstorm the day before the 4th. She just couldn't take it, even when tranquilized. Here three months later, when we hear a "bang", we still think "Oh, poor Gretchen!". This was her last picture, an hour before she was gone. She had been trying to dig a hole in the basement carpet, looking for a place to hide.

    Im very sorry to hear of this REMIX. :( Loosing loved ones is never easy and you have my genuine sympathy.

    Sorry to hear. Pets are truely heros, never complain, and playful. :(

    My friends dog attacked my flip flops. They are Pumas, so they have the Puma on the top, so he went after it. Scared the crap out of me though, because I thought he was trying to bite me. Funny dog though.

    Boy I am really sorry to hear it buddy - it's tough to lose a pet.


    Just remember that animals love unconditionally, and I am sure she was thankful and happy she had a loving home these past 8 years. Sometimes we wonder if we did the right thing, or we have regrets.... what more can you do for a dog than to give her years of comfort, companionship and happiness? Onxy was a lucky dog, and I am sure is in a better place now, and loved every minute of the time she spent with you. Both your and her lives were enrichened for the time spent together.

    Still sad when they go.... just really sorry for your loss :( :( :(

    Real sorry to read this news, REMIX :( . I feel for ya brotha!! Nothing can take away the loss you're feeling right now. Don't mourn the loss, but rather try to remember all the good times.
