RIP Pietro Corradini

It with tremendous sorrow I share with all the passing of Pietro Corradini one of Ferrari’s great Formula One mechanics and a close friend to Enzo Ferrari.
Pietro is known in Maranello as Gilles Villenuves mechanic and after his retirement from Ferrari operated Scuderia Belle Epoque with Monica Zanetti.
The Director of the recent movie “Ferrari “ chose him to be the lead mechanic in the film and he even had a speaking roll handing Peter Collin’s banana to a small boy.
I have been truly blessed to call him my friend and colleague. In August we spent the day together in the paddock at Laguna Seca where he had stories about all the Formula One cars there, it was a most memorable time. Needless to say there are many of us who are heartbroken by the news.
