GOt a 570 Roomba the other day - these things are GREAT!

I just noticed theres a 610 pro out - Anyone got it? Its meant to be a bit beefier?
Going to get a 610 or two for my studio/office.

Anyone have any advice on the placement of the lighthouses? I think your meant to stick them at the doors to rooms? I as sticking them in the middle of the room.

Also my house is mostly open plan so its not possible in most spaces.

If anyones thinking about these Id say go for it - they is the ****.

My Roomba roams freely in several rooms, and we use none of the 'invisible walls' I have no idea how it avoids falling down the stairs, but it seems to know where they are and avoids them with 100% accuracy.

Just turn it on, and let it roam!

I'd get one if there was a setting for "avoid doggie accidents" but I'm scared the Roomba in my house mind end up a Poo-mba.

Love my roomba, but a previous version fell to its death. Be careful with steps/ledges. I actually had an invisible wall set up to prevent it from going over a ledge. But even with the wall set up and it's ability to sense such things, it went over the ledge and fell a story to it's death. Maybe the wall batteries died and then it's sensor didn't do it's job. Maybe it had too much speed heading toward this ledge and couldn't stop.

Also had a scooba, but that didn't work well for my floors. My floors are made up of fairly large square tiles. The connection between the tiles is grouted. But the small differences in height between these individual square did the scooba in. It couldn't get over them.
