Anybody know anything about the 456M GT 6 speed at the Florida RM Auction in two weeks?
This one? https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/FL18/Fort-Lauderdale/lots/r0115-2000-ferrari-456m-gt/646846
Nice! I rather like this one, too: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/FL18/Fort-Lauderdale/lots/r0290-1998-ferrari-550-maranello/654348
The last 2 456M’s that have hit the “big” auctions in the past year here in the US have only fetched about a 100k. Previous to that another 2 456M’***** about 120k (also at auctions). Keep in mind manual M’s are much rarer here in the US vs “across the pond”.With the recent “uncertainty” in the market (financial/Wall St) i would be surprised if it hits 120k. Agreed; a beautiful example. Love the exterior color!!
They want about $130k for the Tommy H. BR green one. I was close to throwing for it but couldn't justify the price. I don't care about Tommy H, but it's a nice car. https://www.carriagehousemotorcars.com/1999-ferrari-456m-gt--c-281.htm
The Tommy car is achingly gorgeous but I agree about the "Tommy Tax" they're applying here. Now, maybe if it was owned by John Voight......
Very nice colour combo and very smart looking car. I’m not entirely sure the interior is quite as good as they state, though, looking at the airbag cover. And they are not showing the seats or the top of the dash, unless I am missing something. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who views the car in person..
It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't bother to get this fixed, especially when trying to sell: it makes such a bad impression, yet costs peanuts to sort!
The car sold yesterday for $115k before auction fee so $126.5k total. Bidding stalled at $110k. This was below the reserve and the seller was present so the auctioneer asked the seller what it would take to move the car. He said $115k and the buyer was willing to go the extra $5k to meet the $115k. Probably the best sale of the Ferraris offered at the auction. Friday saw 6 of the 8 offered go no sale. 1 withdrawn and a 348 went at $51k. Not a great auction for Ferrari or any other marque for that matter. Very slow sales auction. But the 456M went fairly well. Kinda the highlight.....
No sale if I remember correctly. That was a Friday car and only 1 of 8 Ferraris offered on Friday actually sold. It was a pretty bad auction and not just for F-cars. Very flat crowd. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
Looks like $105k plus premium so around $115k all in The same car was a no sale in Feb when it was bid to $100k
Right you are, mchas. My bad. 11 of 23 Ferraris remain for sale according to RM's auction site. But the 550 appears to have sold. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
They haven't posted the sales results yet. But you can go on RM's site, go to the Ft Lauderdale auction and click on the still for sale link. They'll post the sales in a few days when the sales actually clear, money swaps hands and fees are paid. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
That "extra" $5000 likely wasn't paid.... In order to get a deal done Mecum will OFTEN reduce the buyer premium and or give the seller a minimum "net" or reduced premium to get the deal done. Mecum makes no money on "no sale" and it's hurts the through-put statistics.
