No sign of market weakness here. $440K for a LHD Daytona is quite OK.

$2.1m for the 4 cam 275 seems very strong though and reflects the exceptional condition of this car. Also, it was blue. :)

Does anyone know if the listed prices are plus buyers premium?

    sounds interesting. Pics?

Hey Rob, I had a ride in the black 550 for sale at the CTS on the weekend. First time in a 550 and I must say I was slightly underwhelmed. Very fast car, but felt like I was in a BMW. The Dino sounded much better particularly from the drivers seat. Other things that were disappointing was a non functioning aircon and a "putty" sticky feeling to most of the plastic knobs. Told them it was a sub $200k not a $240k car. Still scratching my head about this one

??? I thought about selling the Dino and buying a 550 which I could use more frequently eg drive to work occasionally, but not so sure now.

Keep the Dino Greg. You'd never forgive yourself as it drove out the driveway.

    Good family heirloom.

    Agree,
IMHO wouldn't parlay a classic 246 for a modern Ferrari.
So keep the Dino, and perhaps find a cheap 355 ?

Just as modern as a 550, plus its cheaper to buy/ run/ maintain, and still has "soul".
(Unfortunately also has the sticky plastic bits like interior of the 550)

Yep, agree, but at least he still has the 246.
Be a shame to loose both...

But the same applies to you - I see your 512 is for sale again.
Once it's gone, you'll never find another one like it.

And odds on, the new owner will paint it red sooner or later
So it will never be the same again.

I think you're right. I just didn't feel the "Ferrari" experience with the 550 whereas the Dino made all the right noises, felt more connected to the road and had a better view from the driver's seat. Pretty hard to beat those curves :)

I just wasn't using it enough. I calculated I did 800 miles over the last three years. Life is pretty busy for me at the moment and I just couldn't see that I would get anymore use out of in the near or distant future and having dead money sitting there in the garage was starting to get to me. So I sold it and put the cash to better use. The Dino gets a drive every weekend as is easy enough for my other half to drive so was probably the car to keep. Miss the BB occasionally but feel I've done the right thing.
