Apparantly BMW will not let RM raise a tent covering the auction so there may be a problem with auction if it rains... And the forecast is RAIN all Saturday.. But maybe they have resolved the problem but as if yesterday it was not solved..

It is not BMW that causes a possible tent problem. It is local Cernobbio laws that forbid certain things. Nothing can be built up before Thursday midnight. So everything must be done tonite and early Friday morning.
BMW, however, did not want RM to use the Name "Villa d'Este" for their auction and thus the auctioneer officially had to use the Name "Villa Erba" instead.
    Games, as usual.
And yes, the weather forecast for Saturday is extremely bad. Massive rain all day, plus temperature falling from 20 to 10 degrees Celsius. Expect snowfall. Bring sweaters and umbrellas. Lots of them.

For me one of the car I would want most would be this
:1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Coupe Aerodinamico

Such a beautiful shape and such a tasteful colour, driving that and arriving at an event one would have truly arrived.

With the buyer's premium of 12%--this equals $12,812,000.

Second highest price at auction for a car--only the TR was higher sold by Gooding's.

Ferrari now has #1 and #2.

    Wonder who the buyer was??

Do not forget the 12% buyer's premium--in your calculations !!

At these Levels, that extra 12% really adds up !!
