    You can't really believe everything you see in that price guide. For example that guide lists prices for P3's. No P3 has ever been sold.

    The 300SL sounds cheap at $220K / $242K until you realize it needs a complete restoration, has no books, tools or hard top etc...

    The 300 SL is expensive to restore. Much cheaper to buy one at $450K done..

    We tried hard. Took it to $4.4M but at 4.5m plus commissions we would have been into the car $4.95m and that was what we figured it was worth to an end user!

    Oh well, you can't get them all!

    By the way, yes it needs a full giant restoration but that would have been the fun part!
