But most of the cars do not reach their reserve. 275 GTB Nart Conversion sold 425.000 Pound hammer price 1991 Testarossa 27.500 Pound hammer price Images of preview day: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/events-stories/events/2009/auction/rm/rm-auction-automobiles-of-london-/index.html
The ATS sold for $463.4K. Not much when you deduct the restoration costs. I'm very surprised they let that go no reserve.
The only thing crazy on the ATS was the estimate of $600K! Selling price plus the commission was full retail. Easy statement to make as that is what the car sold for! Cheers, Bill
The owners did their very best. They still cleaned the car yesterday during the preview to make it look perfect. Others did not care that much.
Anybody else having a crappy live broadcast of the auction? Sound not working all the time and tiny video screen with slo mo...
The ATS. For the Landaulet you need more than a cleaning: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/events-stories/events/2009/auction/rm/rm-auction-automobiles-of-london-/images/v551776_342458_-des.jpg
AMG Gullwing had an Estimate of £340K to £440K. Hammer was £410K. £451,000 was total price to buyer plus commissions. (I have notes that the reserve was £300K.) If you can get your money exchanged today at 1.65:1 that works out to $744K. (Very hard to get that rate without paying a commission for the exchange.) No matter how you look at it, that was strong money for such a car. Cheers, Bill
