I became a buddy of Bill365's this past summer(met him a couple times)....I live in the Chicago area, but don't have a Ferrari yet....I am a Car and Bike nutter!!!!! I live and breath it....I'm starting what MIGHT be a career in Motorsports photography...I was asked to possibly do some track photography for Blackhawk Farms in 06'.
Bill, Are there any 360's in your group? I really need a ride in one. I guy near me has two a Red 2000 6spd and a new Black Challenge his name is Jeff Kulwick. He used to have a couple Red NSX's and upgraded. Here is my dream car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Ferrari-360-Challenge-Stradale-1500-miles_W0QQitemZ4586619180QQcategoryZ84156QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I know a guy in Madison that has one. Although I wouldn't say he is in "our group" as he hasn't been out with us yet. I am sure he will be next year though. I have been over to his house and I can tell you he is a real nice guy. We'll get him out next spring. We will have a 430 Spyder in the mix next year as one of our members has it ordered and should have it by then.... How's that?? We have....... 328 328 328 355 355 Soon to be 430 250 GT made from another Ferrari by Wayne Obry (Pebble Beach car!!) TR And then there are a couple of others around that haven't been out with us yet. Just haven't been able to due to time, etc. Mondial 360 355 (my friend Ken who is on the site who will be joining us in the spring!!) TR (my other friend who will also be joining us in the spring. He also has a NICE Bugatti) F40 He has gone with us on drives, but not brought that car out yet.... :-( And then the other cars Pantera who will be joining us (talked to him today) Gallardo Gallardo Elise Viper RT/10 Viper GTS Porsche GT (yes the supercar!!!)(or he could bring his Countach!!) That, all you NSX guys, and Meister's 308 should make for quite a party, ya think??!!!
Bill, Don't forget our Wednesday Night patrons!!! I hope my buddy Ryan will pick up a 3.6 by then. Ken
I will be in attendance, for as many RA events as possible, as usual, in the coming season. Just look for a guy 6'5", long red hair w/beard, in a Rubino 365 2+2 or on a LOUD orange bike. Bill
You can count on it! Already looking into renting an RV for the BRIC....That would be nice especially if its 100*F again!!
Yeah, it always seems to be very hot that weekend. Did you happen to be there the year before?? It was what 70 everyday...absolutely perfect.
what? no.......It was still very warm as I recall. Not like this year, but it had to have been in the 80s?
Are you taling a 360?? Ahhhh yes. The infamous Wednesday Night Club.... Ha!! I talked to Sean yesterday, by the way... Kevin, Thanks for the number!!!
Who said anything about a hitch?? Of COURSE you would put a HITCH on your car..... You would take a chain and wrap it around your axle and then tie it to bumper of the other car!!! Bill
Bill, He was referring to me towing the LOUD orange bike with the 365. I don't think that's in the plan. There is/was a guy out in California (where else), that put a hitch on the back of his 275GTB, to tow his grandson's dirtbike to races, so I guess that would put me in good stead, if I was so inclined. Bill
Jus made reservations for the Ferrari Challenge 7/7 -7/9 ... $125/night (fairly reasonable). We'll be at Victorian Village fri-tuesday and then move over to the Osthoff for BRIC. It sounded like they had a few more rooms left, but there's also some sort of Lawyer convention in town that weekend so they wont last long. If things work out, it should be a great week of Ferrari madness!!
http://www.roadamerica.com/2005/news_ra.htm $5mil RA enhancement plan......pack in an even greater amount of cars in a new add-on paddock.
I will just be happy to be there again this summer regardless of WHAT condition it is in. Man, I love that place. I am so pumped to meet up with some of you guys this next summer. Really will be a good time!! Bill
I feel the same way...Im glad they are adding on to the paddock, but thats about it....I like the rustic feel to the place.
