Next-gen LaFerrari to pursue world speed record? Some clarification please. As a tifosi you know the obvious that an "XX" is coming, but this seems to be Ferrari breaking the trend and actually making a higher ecelon flagship that is road legal now. I true I dont even think the upcoming "Superveyron" could touch it. Or the 1500 upcoming new Venom. Only question is, when? It is saying here that LdM has verified it. WOW. !!!!!
Aero wise I suppose. Remember the Mac F1 got to 240mph with "only" 627 hp. Maybe stupid to compare as they are not even in the same era. My example is that Ferrari doesnt need tons of power to get there. Yet Its super High downforce design will hamper any top speed record aspirations. All in all, you're right.
all jokes aside. I'm back to square one with the anticipation game I had waiting for "La". Dang it!!!
The accuracy of the Autocar report has to be called into question due to its claim that all 499 LaF have been sold
Autocar is a stupid magazine to begin with. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari rolled out an even more hard-core, super-special version of LaFerrari.
so realistically we are looking at LaFerrari XX vs SuperVeyron. La has got to beat P1. As this Next "La" will be too much for it. Even a beefed up P1 which I am expecting(remember Mclaren saying the are coming with new version of everycar ever so often).FORZA FERRARI.
road legal car with weight around one ton would be sensational otherwise it will be only another Sesto Elemento
True. but I think Ferrari has got the line on something super special here. The world waits in baited breath.
As I already said, remove the kers equipment (too many problems and weight) and put two turbos, such as it was done with one of the best ferrari, the F40, and then with 1200 or 1500 hp for 1000 kg we will see!
To me it all seems so vague for now that my hype level is absolute zero. Not actually any official confirmation or anything... The only thing that fits into the Ferrari logic right now is a trackable version (a la XX) which I don't think would shave off 300 kg or have a very different/much more powerful power plant.
Something along this line makes sense as when I was in Maranello meeting with someone at the top of the LF project, he confirmed there would be an FXX equivalent.
