    Since I can't sleep, I thought I would share a sad story.

    Yesterday evening in Rancho Santa Margarita on of my employees and his twin brother was driving down the 241 freeway and was involved in an incident right in front of my store and his brother was stabbed to death and he is now in the hospital with a stab wound to the liver.

    After talking to him at the hospital he said that the typical Road Rage occured after somone cut someone off...then the typical FU's back and forth. At the off ramp right in front of my store, apparently the two cars stopped and the brother got out and the other driver got out and stabbed him in the heart several times. The brother driving got out to help and he got stabbed as well. We are in shock, the father of the twins works for me as well. Nothing could be more tradgic, especially around the holidays.

    The other thing is that it happend around nine in the evening on a busy intesection and no one got the plates on the guy who stabbed them, the killer is still driving around Orange County.

    Tragic indeed - especially at this time of year. I heard about this on the radio yesterday on KFMB as I was driving home from LA's Jewlery District with my wife's Christmas gift and thought the same thing then. Now with your post, it is a little closer to home.

    After reading your post, my thought are that it takes two to escalate the situation to the point that it got to. However, it still takes a pretty sick person to take it to the point where he brandishes a knife and stabs a guy.

    Was this the incident with the killer on a motorcycle? Sorry to hear of this tragedy.

    How could nobody see this? I hope they catch the guy. I was driving home from work yesterday and I could not believe how many times I and others were cut-off by aggressive drivers. They were out in force......... I think people are stressed for the holidays or is this situation getting much worse?

    Tragic and probably preventable. It's never worth the confrontation. Let it go. My condolences go out to his family.

    Good News!

    I have been informed that they caught the guy!

    It will be on the 11am news

    Apparently the guy was a Hell's Angle an was an expert on knife fighting.

    Makes sense why he was able to get a heart and liver strike on two opponents.

    So I guess the lesson here is you never know who's drivng the other car and how crazy they are.

    As most offer their condolences little tex starts commenting on Illegal Aliens. Nice and who did they catch? Some redneck hopped up on Meth, otherwise known as a Hells Angel member. Nothing like ignorance, nothing quite like it.

    It’s going to take its toll on this Family for the rest of their life. Every year that Christmas come around so does their lost of a loved one. We have all flip off some dumb ass, but when you choose to stop and get out of your car you may have to pay the price of being that tuff guy. We are all just a heart beat away from lying on a stainless steel table. A quote from a Coroner "theirs not one person that woke up this morning with the thought he'd be on my table today” My Condolences to his friends and the family.

    Don't they have a history of drugs and gangs?

    Sure the ending is tragic, but doesn't mean this guy deserves to be in jail either.

    I'm guessing if someone did that to one of us & we protected ourselves everyone would be ok with that. What made this guy different? Because he was a Hells Angel and not driving a Ferrari?

    The Los Angeles Times stated that according to witnesses, the brothers started following Requejo (the one that stabbed the brothers) on the toll road, flashing their truck's lights and cutting him off. When both vehicles stopped, the brothers pounded on Requejo's pickup with their fists and tried to pull him out.
    Requejo left his truck from the passenger side and exchanged punches
    with Justin Ammann. When Jason joined in to help his brother, Requejo stabbed them both. Killing one of them.
    Does this really justify his release? or maybe not?

    Either way, you don't stab someone and take off like that if you were defending yourself. If he thought he was innocent, he would have stuck around and waited for police, right?

    I may be a bit biased since Jason works for me, but I would like to remind everyone that the attacker was a trained knife expert, associated with the Hell's Angels and armed with a knife. Maybe he was provoked, but I sure would feel safer if he was behind bars.

    How many people carry knives in the car?

    If he was suppose to claim self defense, couldn't he have just pulled the knife and not used it? I think that may have gotten their attention.

    He knew what he was doing by stabbing one in the heart and the other in the liver...both kill points.

    Just hope we dont run into this guy! He lives in Rancho Santa Margarita and is responsible for the only Murder recorded back here.

    hmmm Self Defense is BS...hes drinking beers with his buddies and laughing about it.

    Easy to say from an intellectual standpoint.
    I'm sure this guy was pretty hyped up emotionally.
    some people may not just sit around waiting for the cops while in this state.
    Tragic for everyone.
    There was a road rage murder in Dallas the other day. A 14yo boy (passenger) was shot and killed while just sitting in the car. Assailant is still unidentified.

    If they came beating on my window and approached me at night I know this! (Pop Pop) Your city in a bubble stats would double. You have any other Dirt Bags you want to defend. Sorry to be so hard on you but lets face it. They ask for some action and their familys are paying the price. A sad day.
