They made a law against left lane hogs???
I'm not exactly sure. The major interstates have signs up for it. Are they just warnings or an actual law?
As someone who has moved to Texas from California and has driven a bit in a couple states, I feel that Texas drivers are pretty bad but better than Californian drivers (particularly in LA and Bay Area) and Phoenix and a few other places. My primary gripe is with "Left Lane Hogs" who cant seem to take the trouble to check the mirror to see that someone needs to pass. Also, seems to me that nearly 9/10 motorists are on the phone all the time. I still dont get what there is to talk so much everyday.
Please move over from the left lane when your pass is completed. Shoulder passes are hard on tires although invigorating.
I miss driving in Germany. The people that try and "thread the needle" and pass everyone to try and cram themselves in at the last possible moment with no concern for the cluster-Fack they leave behind them are everywhere. The difference is that in Texas those people, after literally F'ing everyone behind them with the chain reaction of breaks they create, then flip off the people they just f'd... Places like NY city or the LIE you get cut off, but it's just people rushing around. Much less often is it someone trying to cut you off, and much less often is it someone flip you off AFTER they f' up. It's settled, I'm going back to Germany for a few weeks and driving the autobahn, where people use turn signals, drive with at least some basic level of courtesy, accelerate if you come up on their ass in the left lane; not slam the breaks and flip you the bird... where people get out of the left lane if you want to go faster than them... That's a novel concept.
Saw one of those mother ****ers today. Dude was going no more than 50mph in the left lane. Causing a back up. I wanted to ****ing blow up. Oh I understand about people driving in trucks/suv's. I watch what some of them do, and it's frightening. Although I can't say I havent riden people's bumpers b/c they leave 100 car lenghts b/w them and the car in front, or for driving slow in the fast lane.
