Hi all, I am tentatively planning a two week trip around Switzerland for last week of Aug / first week Sep later this year. I'm renting a GTC4 Lusso for the whole two weeks. I'd like to get something smaller, but my wife can't seem to fit two weeks of life into a carry-on.

The current plan is to fly into Zurich, head towards Davos for a night then towards Stelvio the following morning. After that somehow loop back around towards the west with a night in St Moritz and later hit the San Bernadino Pass, eventually make our way through Furka/Grimsell passes to Jungfraujoch, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, and Schloss Seeburg for a few days (and later a day trip to Susten Pass?). After that maybe south towards the Matterhorn area, stopping in Zermatt and maybe check out Gornergrat.

Might round out the trip with a few days in Gstaad, Luasanne and/or Geneva. I've been to Geneva a few times already so it's not really high on the list of to-do's.

Would love any suggestions for hotels, bars, restaurants, museums, passes, towns, villages or anything else you all think I should see along the way. Much appreciated!

Or if anyone wants to meet up for a few hours of spirited driving, would be happy to have company!

    Thanks all

Hi We visited Silvretta Stausee which had good switchbacks. A fun drive. We stayed at Grand Hotel Kronenhof near St Moritz, Beautiful views of the mountains. Another one is Zault, Nice roads to a small observation deck. Have fun! We had a great time Last October 2022. We were 4 exotic cars in a Test drive 4 day trip. We changed cars every day trying each one. A Ferrari F8, McLaren 720, Lamborghini Huracan Evo Performante and a Maserati MC20. Good times. We are going again this year!

Follow up question: what would I have more fun in - the Lusso or 992 911 Cab?

I had a 992 911 last year when I did southern France and it was a blast. I'm just a bit worried about the length of the Lusso as I am used to driving smaller cars.

Nice roadtrip! I would suggest you to post in the swiss section, you will get more visibility and more answers I guess.
After Davos I would go over Flüelapass towards Engadin, then Berninapass, Bormio and Stelvio. Back to St Moritz over Umbrailpass and Ofenpass.
Berninapass isn't very interesting, I would do Malojapass and Splügenpass, a LOT of twisties. Then relax at the thermal baths in Vals. Drive to Andermatt over Oberalppass (Gothardpass isn't worth it). I prefer Susten-Grimsel-Furka in that order, suits better to a Lusso (From Furkapass to Andermatt the road is narrow).
Jungfraujoch is a highlight! From Lauterbrunnen to Zermatt you can go through the Lötschberg tunnel (car on the train at Kandersteg). If you have time take the cable car at Kandersteg to the Oeschinensee, one of the most beautiful mountain lake in the swiss Alps!
Gornergrat is a must to do in Zermatt. I live near Lausanne and I can recommend the Hotel Beau-Rivage.
There are also a lot of nice roads and passes all along the Jura, with far less traffic and cyclists.
Would be fun to join to you for a drive :)

Most dangerous places are on highways and in/around towns. You can have fun in the twisties ;)

I meant, you can have fun at speed limit or slightly above on winding roads without loosing your licence. I don’t dare to accelerate fast on straight lines where they usually set up mobile cameras.
