Looks like the cops had a roadworthy inspection point or something at the beginning of the westgate outbound last night. There are about 30 cars parked (left) on different grass verges some with number plates removed. I'm dreading one day driving through one of those!
You can pretty much make the call that any car is unroadworthy if you are determined enough. Sandblasted windscreen or a screen with a tiny bullseye will make the car illegal. The list of possible faults is endless. I have had this happen in my 360 (canary for tyres) and my CSL (w/screen, tyres). If the Cop is an arseh*le or you give him reason to become one, you're walking and that's all there is to it.
yeah...very true. luckily, i'm always extremely polite to police, so i don't have too much to worry about.
I've got to say, from my experience Police attitude to Ferrari drivers is much better than BMW or MB.
Damn, you've gone from being 1000 posts behind me, to virtually catching up, within the period of a few months.
he's got a point, cause i've been dun by cops a few times and if you be good you might get let off, like me or in another case be an idiot you get you car defected and maybe impounded.
come up here and see if you can say that ....... I was picked out of a line of about 7 cars, all doing the same speed (I was #5 or 6) and yet somehow my speed was dangerous (70 in a 60 ) but the other POS were all fine !!!??? still, red cars are dangerous in Qld, I've had 2 near misses with both cars written off (neither my fault - as will eventually be shown to be the case). The first one had the entire front ripped off when a Springwood knucklehead drove straight thru a red light in a Chook tin (Fowl can to help the slow ) and took the front of the magna I was driving clean off (feet were in the air !!), the second was the ballerina gt4 ... both times the police reckoned it was my fault (since been exhonerated for both incidents)
