Rob - You should definitely set a policy on avatar and profile pics

    IMO, pics of yourself or pics of cars. keep the avatar and profile pics to PG or G levels. and when folks see threads with names like "new bikini thread", well, then they've got fair warning :).

    no boobies. no weeners. no blood and guts. no pictures of your pet fish (well, unless the bowl is in the seat of your ferrari!). no politcal statements. this is a ferrari place.

    I'll second that with my two Lire.

    I'd also suggest outlawing animated GIFs... its going to get really annoying having the whole left column dancing away as you try to read this threads.

    I guess that's two more Lire.

    "Please! Only avatars of your car(s), yourself, or other acceptable images. No animated gifs either. Violation of this may result in removal from community."

    Let me know if you would suggest other verbage.

    Rob, I know it wouldn't solve the problem entirely, but couldn't you make a JPEG only avatar requirement to eliminate the animated GIFs?

    I do like the avatars, so I'd rather not have to disable them from being viewed under my user options. For the moment I'm adding certain users to my ignore list. I got 'burned' today when I pulled up a thread and a female coworker caught a glimpse of my screen and commented on what kind of classless site I was visiting...
