    Great Story Robb! Nice pictures as well. I've seen your car develop/unfold within it's restoration right here within FerrariChat and it's great to see someone go thru the details and show us all the ins & outs of the secret life of 355 Challenge. Awesome!

    Let me know when you can get it out on track it would be great to see two F355 out on track tracking/racing around. I mean if your ever in Austin, TX @ Circuits of the America. I plan on doing some other track next year within the USA. Laguna Seca and catch up with all those cool California 355 owners!

    The good news is that this morning I was given contact information for our car's original driver and owner Tim Robertson.

    It took 18 months to find but I am looking forward to sharing our car's history with him along with photos, videos, and records I have assembled.

    I will keep the group updated. Fun times.

    I am ecstatic.

    Great news.

    Sent an email to Leo Hindery (one of our team's original drivers and winner of LeMans in '05) last week and he replied that he is sending some records and will be answering my questions about the team and the series. He also connected me to Tim Robertdon. I emailed Tim yesterday with updated photos and many historic documents and photos he had not seen.

    Mr. Robertson replied back today with a very long email with helpful answers to many of my (and other challenge car owners) questions.

    I will be posting the information here shortly. Needless to say, a great day in our garage.

    In NYC this week so getting together with Barry for dinner Thursday to watch the new 1996 Montreal challenge series race (that his car won) and talk shop.

    I'm very thankful to Barry for his input prior to our purchase of the challenge car and his help with some original imsa graphics.

    Great time out finally meeting Barry in NJ.

    We watched the 1996 Montreal challenge race on DVD - coming to YouTube soon!

    It showed closeups of so many 348's and F355's on the track.

    Hi Robb!

    I'm happy we were finally able to meet up last night to enjoy a good supper and Ferrari Challenge conversation.

    The 1996 Montreal race was exciting to watch with important lessons in racing derived.

    I think you're pretty much set for Chuckwalla next month. You're technician will play a key role in this outing. Rely on his expertise.

    As soon as you can, invest in a HANS device. With the very upright OMP VID Carbon seats, I recommend the HANS Adjustable set at 10 degrees.

    New SA2015 has arrived. Dark Yellow Iridium visor. Will send it off for paint at some point and will add comms, air, and Hans.

    Very happy with the helmet by Stilo

    Picked it up with some other items at Winding Road Racing.

    Hey I know you must have posted old photos of the car but can you put a link up? Curious about the sponsons had no idea there were that many sponsors on the cars!

    Just amazing to see what you can do in the Challenge car. It was definitely a bucket list moment. The suspension and brakes were the stand outs. Started out easy and added speed as the day progressed. Learned so much from the experience. Top speed was 120 on the back straight which are somewhat short at this track in CA. Learning to carry speed in the curves was the most satisfying thing I worked on. The car's abilities are amazing.

    Lots of photos from the on-track photographer that I will upload when I get them home.
