It has been mentioned in another thread at some point, that apparently Jolyon Palmer brought some private sponsorship money to Renault (around £3M) , and this is maybe why they handle him with kids gloves now, instead of firing him immediately.
I suspect his contract will not be renewed next year.

Alonso is better off in a Renault engined McLaren than a Renault engined Renault. This doesn't make sense to me...

Yes, possibly the figures are higher, I don't know.
But anyway that seems to be what keeps Palmer in his seat at the moment.
Maybe Renault doesn't want to upset that sponsor.

Well, I never did believe that Renault seriously considered R.K for a seat, but that's just me. However, I understand that the situation of Carlos Sainz Jr is very much dependant on the engine swap with McLaren, so I don't believe this is over and done yet, as long as the McLaren engine situation is not sorted out.
I have to say that I'm rather lukewarm towards Williams these days...their car isn't very good, I was expecting better performance from them.

What a pity Massa will lose his seat while baby driver gets the glory.

Hardly. Remember, he retired last year. He's basically just having fun now and I don't think he cares if he has a seat next year or not.

I think Felipe's time is over..he can hag around but seriously (and i really like him as the champion he is) i would prefer to see Robert at his place...he was robbed of a great career (by his own fault i have to admit) and would be grat if he coud have a second chance.

What a silly comparison: How about comparing Massa's first season to Lance's?

Massa got a whopping 4 points and made so many mistakes that he got relegated to test driver for a year. Lance has 24 points so far and a podium

After watching Lance I am of the position there are many more deserving drivers. Lance is amateur hour. Not a fan.

Yes but that's because you deslike Felipe, not because you think Lance is better...
