Hi Gents, Just another drawing in the making, this time the 1985 308GTSI QV that now belongs to Fchatter Frank B and earlier was owned by Wolfgang. I saw this car myself last summer, and I tell you....there's no way to describe the condition of this car! Frank is keeping and maintaining this car in absolutely mint condition! It's simply awesome This drawing will also be having a background behind the car when finished! Later I will post also the photo used as a reference for this drawing! PS. Not all my photos are super quality, and may be shaked or unsharp, please excuse me for that!!! Enjoy Best Carsten Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is getting boring.........everytime I see a new drawing of Carsten I want to say: AMAZING or EXCELLENT or SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Roel, Well, It's definitely not boring to do these drawings, so I will keep on! Here update 4... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Carsten, It hurts..........I still miss my "old" 308 so badly. Why the hell have I sold it As usual, great drawing
Thanks Wolfgang I sure would miss that car too if it used to be mine.... I truly understand you buddy! He is a beautiful car indeed, and at least taken VERY good care of by new owner Frank, that must be comforting to know!
The background for Frank's 308 will be somewhat similar to this one, also with stairs, but without the elipse/oval surrounding it... Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's pretty accurate. Where are the rust spots around the bottom door edges, and the rear quarter panels? I'd be impressed then.
Where's my thesaurus...stunning, stupendous, excellent! These are always among the best threads in the showroom section. Can't wait to see the final product!
stunning work.... we should commission you to do our cars... one at a time it would be a full time job! excellent work, your patience and passion is inspiring!
Carsten, Out of curiosity, how many F-chatters are lined up asking for drawings of their cars? Excellent work as usual!
Thanks a lot all of you, @Michael, Thanks! Yes you should, all of you..... I'm sure I could live with a wonderful fulltime job like that @Augustine, Thanks! I'm not sure, There has been a few in the past, and hopefully there will be more in the future......I quite like doing this!!!
Update 5, and probably the only one for today, since I have other doings to take care of. I got quite some hours put on the drawing yesterday....it should be visible Image Unavailable, Please Login
These are incredible. You should definitely look into making prints of these drawings... I can definitely see more then a couple of us here being willing to pay for prints of these... I definitely would be... I can always use more drawings/paintings to replace the posters I have on my walls at home...
It's a stunner I love the reflection in the mirror What technique do you use to get the perspective correct or is that not a problem when copying from a picture?
Once again, Thanks all of you @Robert, I allready have prints of most my drawings, and have had so for years now I usually have prints made of the drawings if they turn out to my liking!!! @Graham, Thanks, I dont know if it's a technic, and I do not allways make a drawing of a car in the same angle as shown on a photo so it's not allways easy to get the perspective right....and lots of times I have to try a couple of times before I hit the right angle/perspective.....eg. the outline for this one took two failed atttempts before i was satisfied, even if shown as on the photo I use for reference! The most difficult objects for me to draw are cars with many rounded lines in the out line, like Jim's P4 for example.... if there's no straight lines in a car it can be VERY difficult to get the perspective right, so that one took a long time to just outline!
update 6, and a detail pic Only minor changes on this one, since I've been busy the last two days doing other things!!! The details on the tail lights and the exhaust pipes are getting closer now....at least those to the left Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
