Like many aging beauties my (drivers) seat needs a bit of tightening.
    :)
Other than that my pelts are in fine shape. Rugs and felts are a bit faded and are on "the list".

Well as they say...there's no accounting for taste...so, after looking it over again, I'll stick with my original impression...I like the custom interior of the car in the link better than the stock interior... But I wouldn't spend the $$$ now to switch over...you're right, the stock interior is nice too...

But who knows...I think the current seats in my 75 could be made more comfortable (somehow)...so I wouldn't be adverse to switching them out for something else that would fit (and keeping the originals as is)...hmmm maybe there's a thread on that somewhere now....

That's why HoJos made twenty eight favors.
    ;)

Only caveat that I'd offer is that its tough to sell on a dream. When you do mods like that don't expect the next owner to put the same value on them as you did.

I was thinking how they cut a hole in the rare blue trunk carpet! HA :) Actually the seats in the GT4 are amazingly comfortable. I have driven to Monterrey in about 6 different cars and my back hurt in everyone after the drive except the Ferrari. The wing nuts make me wonder if really a Ferrari tech owned the car however.

Yeah...I saw the wing nuts too...and their "rebuilt to LM Specs" engine is indeed marketing hype, in the sense that it's really "LM like", (pretty close to my GT4 engine in the work done, but mine remains at 3.0L, same as the actual LM)....

On the seats...in the old days I did a number of 20+/- hour stints in my car cross country...but now my car has mainly sat lately...but after thinking it over more, the problem with the GT4 seating is the limited space...ever notice how the left side of the driver's seat on GT4s is usually all worn, (as per the current pic of mine below), it's because of the way the seat is pointed and fits in the space available, I guess...so...I not sure now that a new seat would really help for sure, since the same (space related) issues might well still be there....

I think thats from getting out and in. You just need to get older like me and you will shrink to fit!! HAAAAAAAAA No matter what its still the best seat in the house!!!!!

I think that part of the wear on the right bolster has to do with getting in and out of the car. Unless I make a conscious effort to remember I tend to use it as a support.

Well when I drove the car a lot, I remember leaning on that side of the seat a lot, while driving...and when I was younger I was very very thin and nimble, and so I doubt that I did all that getting in and out...buy hey I might be wrong....

Get old like you(!!!)...I am so old, I don't even like to think about it, and definitely older than most here...(that guy who said he was 70 and getting his first 4RE was beating me out in that respect though)....

Speaking of seats, mine is a bit rump sprung. Is it possible to take it out and tighten it from below or is it a job for the upholstery shop?

jimgolf1 sent me some info on seat refinishing, (thanks Jim), with some before and after seat pics, so he *might* have some more info for you also....

I'm glad to see the landscape-oriented sheet metal indentation in the nose. As it should be. :)
