I agree with most of this ^^ Right or wrong (I couldn’t carry a single tune if my life depended on it), but I’ve always considered LvB the father of Heavy Metal. Also, perhaps due to not being familiar with anything newer, for me Rock died somewhere around early nineties. Oh, and I’ve never understood the appeal Beatles.
Latest track released off the new album. Porcupine Tree - Herd Culling (Single Edit - Official Visualiser) - YouTube
The new album sounds more like Steven's new stuff than PT. I think this one has a very interesting sound. Pretty rock song and should sound even better live like all their songs. Porcupine Tree - Population Three (Official Audio) - YouTube
Came out last year, but still new. They are still pretty good IMO. The Pretty Reckless - Only Love Can Save Me Now (Official Music Video) - YouTube
One of my favorite rock albums of all time, after Led Zepplin IV.. Judith is amazing. A PERFECT CIRCLE - MER DE NOMS / FULL ALBUM - YouTube
These guys have been nominated for a bunch of Grammy's, there's a huge rock movement coming out of NY/Philly at the moment. Seems we're due a resurgence!
Another Porcupine Tree song. Pretty light rock until the middle part. Pink Floyd would be proud of them on this PF anniversary.
An interview with Maynard. From Tool to Puscifer his music goes from hard to rather easy soft Rock. Why Does Maynard Need 3 Bands? (Tool, A Perfect Circle & Puscifer) - YouTube
First you have to define "Rock" music- Which is impossible- Some people think "rock" is Iron Maiden- Others think it is Motley Crue- others think is Journey etc etc- U2 is selling out the Sphere in Vegas and Imagine Dragons sells out Wembley so i dont think "rock" music is dying any time soon -
