Lance with a Mercedes clone will have little to offer on excuse for not doing well in qualy this year!

Results don’t lie, If Stroll succeeds he deserves it, let’s give him a chance in a decent car before persecuting him. Two years in a terrible Williams and a mediocre Racing Point for his first year trying to learn his way with a new team that was going broke and couldn’t start developing its car until September when everyone else started 4 months earlier. Even Perez had his worst year in the same car even with all his experience. None of those cars really gave Stroll a chance to show what he could do.

True but his lack of race-craft is not determined by a good or bad cara. Skill is apparent in both types. He lacks skill. Now he has zero excuse but to show what experience has brought to him. If he fails to match or outperform Perez then all the critique is accurate.

I don't think Lance Stroll will be better than Perez, but I hope he will improve a little bit and make less mistakes.
As long as he doesn't interfere with the race when the leaders come to lap him, that's OK with me. I don't expect more than that.
The rest, his speed, results and so on is for Racing Point to ponder about.
If Lawrence Stroll really wants his Aston Martin team to be a fighting force in 2021, he will have to make hard decisions about the drivers.

he will need drivers capable of developing a car and team, not ones that just throw them under the bus when things go wrong.

    But that's his choice, no?
The same for any team owner.

Fingers crossed. FWIW his position at the top of the standings has nothing to do with his father's wealth/influence.
    Just saying.

People warn Racing Point may go out of business

They will go out of business when Papa Stroll is convinced that's the best Lance can do.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Paps is getting together a bid to take over F1 from Liberty who may have finally realized they have bitten off more than they can chew.
