Nothing to eat. Race results count. He needs to provide that result. We shall see. Good weekend so far. One must applaud the effort thus far.

He has been faster than Perez in the past. But its been about 95% Perez so far in their time on same team. Celebrating a rare event LOL :)

Qualifying 3rd ahead of Perez is no small feat. What an improvement for both Lance and Racing Point. Also getting into Q3 on medium tires was not easy and could help tomorrow. Good luck tomorrow Lance!

    Favor Lance?? :)

Racing Point has not ruled out imposing team orders between Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll in the Hungarian Grand Prix if it needs to protect a decent points haul.

The Silverstone-based outfit has a golden opportunity to grab its first podium of the season at the Hungaroring, after Stroll and Perez locked out the second row of the grid.

Both cars progressed through Q2 on the medium tyre with which it will start the race, despite Perez reporting feeling dizzy.

Team principal Otmar Szafnauer has made clear that he will not tolerate any trouble between his drivers that could risk jepordising the team's efforts in the constructors' championship.

Drag race to the first corner, but no heroics.
After that, follow who's in front, and no fight between team mates.
Seems like an intelligent stategy for RP.

Stroll beating Vettel Leclerc verstappen gives us the real benchmark on how the Mercedes engineering in formula one is so far ahead.
If you want an airplane comparison, this is the same gap between a Messerschmitt 262 and a spitfire .
Kudos to them ( bar the unknown spending amount of course ..)

In 2020 it's the car that does all the work and gets the results...the driver's role is now just to keep it from getting damaged and goes along for the ride...

Ricciardo: FIA would now review Stroll Styrian GP move differently -
Im glad this was now re-looked. That was a sad move of poor race craft. Should not have been rewarded at all.

--Daniel Ricciardo has admitted he was "frustrated" after being informed that the FIA would probably make a different call in the outcome of his Styrian GP altercation with Lance Stroll.

Racing Point driver Stroll gained a position when he forced Ricciardo's Renault and himself wide at the Red Bull Ring's Turn 3 during their frantic late battle, which Ricciardo branded "desperate".

The pair crossed the line in seventh and eighth places respectively, and after an investigation the stewards subsequently declared that it was a racing incident.

But after a regular post-race review of the whole weekend involving Formula 1 race director Michael Masi and the stewards it was agreed that should a similar incident happen again, the likely outcome would be that the places would be reversed before the results were made official.

The incident was discussed in Friday's drivers' briefing in Hungary, where on hearing that the stewards had changed their view Ricciardo joked that he would like his points back.

"If it happens again today then we'd swap positions," he said when asked by Autosport.

"I think after the facts, they accepted that they would have done something different.

"But once Sunday night passes and Monday rolls over, the results are fixed. And you can't go back and switch positions or anything. So obviously a bit frustrated.--
