Perhaps they really need him in a race seat as a developer at the very least. It sounds like they're not getting the kind of technical feedback they might like from their current drivers.

I suspect development feedback is also why teams like Alfa Romeo are so keen to retain Raikkonen alongside young talent, because he can develop the car.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I would have thought that the answer to that question was obvious enough.

I don't blame Lawrence Stroll one second for giving his son a seat in his team.

In the same situation, I would do exactly the same.

Experience counts for something. That was blatantly obvious when Hulk was dead last in qualifying. He redeemed himself during the race but Lance would have finished 8th at the very least, more likely higher than that. I like Hulk but he never achieved a podium throughout his career, which is why he ended up outside of F1. Lance with less than half of Hulk's starts has already two podiums to his name.

In addition some of the Euro press is now warming up to Stroll and touting him as a refined driver who is in it on his own merit. They also go on to state that Vettel will have a hard time to beat Lance next year.

Stroll isn't WDC material but he is definitely a good enough driver for F1. I'm looking forward to his maiden victory.

'From the link I posted – His feedback is very interesting for us, because the updates we had on the car were a direct result of his feedback at Silverstone“

That’s experience with Hulk not Lance. One drives and one races and was also contacted by Redbull – Lance would not be called by Redbull

Lance has improved or is it the car being improved by Hulk and Perez? The podiums are really gifts from others.

If next year lancelot is within half a second from Seb, he can be proud...if Seb get's his mojo back and likes the car, he won't be.

Oh come on. Hulk had only a few laps in qualifying to get up to speed. We saw Hulks performance in silverstone when he had at least the weekend to prepare.

If Hulk had at least FP3 to prepare there is no doubt in my mind he at least would've qualified somewhere decent and the race would've been a much higher result.

I know you admire Stroll but at least try to stay unbiased. To say that Stroll would've done better in the race despite having the entire season in this car already, I would say that is the bare minimum requirement for Stroll.

****, remember when Fisichella was put in (the far simpler) F2009? He at least had the whole season of driving the same type of cars (or any cars for that matter), and FP1/2/3!

Strolls putting lives in danger by not revealing virus symptoms and again by flying home instead of self-isolating to avoid another test which could have forced R.P. to retire

I'm 100% sure and I bet whatever you want that it was not Lance's decision but his father's.

why I wrote StrollS. ;) Still could have gone against him no? We’ll never know whose decision it was anyway and if there will be someone to take the blame it won’t be either of the two

It seems Lawrence Stroll ALSO tested positive for COVID-19. He has completed a period of isolation as well.

    I wonder who infected who??

Problem is, he kept on testing, the results were negative. But it seems it did hit him really hard...the toilet trips isn't a joke..

They broke the bubble - period. Fairly clear about that. Perez had photo's posted by wife, not in bubble not wearing mask on island and Mexico.
