Lucky kid gets to drive an F1 car......and have a "stroll" in it when he feels like it regardless if it's the same track..If he feels like racing in it, so be it....that's his decision.

 

He appears bored. Inspired not a word that applies at all.

I thought that was a really odd comment he made. He sounded like he had just given up.

 

Is difficult to assess. I think he was not pleased with the feel of the car and could not push as he wanted.

 

Hell, it's F1 forum on FChat. Not exactly the place where unbiased opinions are mentioned.

That said, it's disappointing to see Stroll so far off the pace from Seb at Silverstone.

 

Maybe Mick needs more help?

 

Stroll made up for his poor qualifying by moving up 6 places in the race, job well done!

And also finishing way ahead of his team mate Sebastian Spinmeister.

 

Lancel in the points, Seb in the gravel !!!!

 

It was interesting in the way that once Lance did his usual early attacks in the first few laps and once Seb recovered from his spin, both just held positions. Some here call that "merely driving around". Can't say for sure, maybe the AM is not that great a car?

Several times Lance came within DRS range of Alonso only to loose ground again. At least some points to his tally.

 

A bit of a reversal today. Lance covers himself in glory and receives a 5 grid spot penalty at Spa.

 

Not quite a reversal: Zero points for both drivers in Hungary.

 

Vettel disqualifed on a technicality, but the on-track performance remains, IMO.

 

Spa 2021 "farce" evernt

Hungary 2021-->the pitwall messed up Seb's fuel issue by not having enough fuel on board. Seb got DQ'd.
Spa 2021--> the pitwall messed up Stroll by changing a rear wing during the farcical event......which was'nt even needed.



Stroll "finished" P18 but got a 10 second time penalty, which dropped him to last place.

Theatre of the Absurd.

 

Better understanding of the regulations needed here.

But truly some obscure regulations are buried deep inside the rulebook that it's like a minefield.

It's a pity when observance of petty rules takes precedente over driving performance.

To be fair to Stroller, he has improved. He’s now only the second worst driver on the grid behind Mazespin.

 

Stroll outqualifies Vettel at the Dutch GP.

 

Vettel was held up by traffic on his flying lap which negated a better qualifying time.

Those are the breaks I guess.
