To put things in context, Al Pease drove for 3 years in a few GPs the same Eagle with a 4 cyl 2.7L engine that was very underpowered anyway. The car was totally uncompetitive, but Pease wasn't a very fast driver anyway.

Time to update this thread.

Outqualified by his teammate who didn't even a car ready with 2 minutes to go. Crashed into Latifi with a particularly special move.

Was texting with my brother when Lancer brought out red flag in FP3 and said what’s with the two Canadian drivers and red flags. Who knew they would conspire to run into each other and cause havoc again just an hour later.

Since the AD final last year, seems to be at least 2, 3 incidents per race for this pair combined. Embarrassing for them and frustrating for us getting every race interrupted because of this clown show. And it seems to only be getting worse.

 

It would have been nice to see what time Stroll could have made. Vettel didn't really cover himself in glory with his time.

 

no time to warm up (2 mins on the clock, not the first one out) and very little running all weekend for Vettel.

Without Latifi, Hamilton would be WDC now. Would you prefer that outcome? Certainly not me.

I do think Latifi is out of his element, then again driving a POS like the Williams is probably no cake walk either. You could make a similar comment about Mick. Inexperience causes spins and crashes, nothing new.

Besides: I just love Lance. I think he is so cool and I enjoy him being in F1.

 

I don't see Stroll as ''cool". Nothing about his public persona screams ''cool'' to me.
Raikkonen - King of Cool (but not longer in F1)
Alonso - Cool
Ricciardo - Cool
Leclerc, Sainz, Verstappen - Pretty cool

Speaking of Lance specifically, he's barely got a persona.

 

Latifi doesn't deserve to be in F1 at all, but you are absolutely right that without Latifi, LH would be 2021 WDC. He is amazing for the sport when it comes to entertainment.

 

I see the responsability in the Stroll/Latifi accident as 50/50.

 

Everybody has his own definition of what is cool, and what is not.

Here again, it's purely subjective.

Lance Stroll has a persona, but it happens that you don't like it.

And yes LH was faster than Max the entire race and without Latifi he is WDC. There is nothing wrong with that. That was going to happen.

Lance cool?? He could not answer in a complete coherent sentence today what happend today when interviewed on SKY. Lance is a joke. He is a lame journeyman F1 tourist LOL.

Latifi and Lance should be out of F1. Period. Money gives access not much else in their cases LOL.

You are being really kind , they are both out of their depth . Lance gets paid 10million a year to live out his father’s dream , can’t say he is delusional , he is living the life even though I can’t ever see him being in the top 10 ever . His father however lives in La La land , thinks he walks on water . I suspect he will be humbled after making a mess of Aston , assuming he even understands what humility means .
Lattifi is even worse , if that is possible .

 

Lance Stroll a bit naughty swerving on the straights during the race, and rightly penalised for it, IMO. .

Yet, he finished ahead of Vettel who ended up visiting the scenery.

He appeared to swerve slightly as passed by any other driver. Again he lack skill, tenacity and focus when compared to better performing peers.. He is a mess and looks worse this year than last. Poor chap.

 

Do you think possible he will depart this year early. I feel he has a lack of motivation overall. If true what options does he have in contract to leave if he has no heart more for this.........

 

I bet Stroll Senior isn't impressed. We can expect an explosive situation if Vettel doesn't improve.

 

I think at this point in life for Seb, Stroll anger is the last thing that will intimidate him lol. His bark is what.............money, ego and idiocy. Such an impressive array of easily ignored features overall. Whether people like Sebs attitude about certain issues, he seems sure of himself as a man and person. Stroll is a known quantity to him and given how Stroll treated Perez at the end, nothing of this ego idiot will surprise Seb now.
