Never short of excuses.
Everyone is welcome to their opinion, I am just stating the facts about what has happened during Lance’s pit stops over the past several races that I believe would have hurt any driver’s finishing position. These errors definitely don’t help! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What's weird is they brought a huge update a couple weeks ago and the car has been mediocre since then. Actually the car has been crap since the whole world dumped on Stroll.
Other teams have upgraded since then. I thought some of their bad performances was down to not suiting a particular track but this is now not proving to be the case. I'd be shocked if AM is doing something now since the world took a **** on Stroll. AM had the most development hours available of any of the competitive teams, by a huge margin. This has now been reset but that wouldn't cause an immediate deficit. It's puzzling.
Yes, very disappointing in qualifying and I don't expect much in the race either. They weren't actually not so bad in Austria but then pit strategy and bad luck ruined their positions when they came in too late for tire changes.
Why does Stroll have a job on the grid as a driver outside OF MONEY LOL?? He is an amateur and utterly clueless and dangerous. He is without a doubt an idiot.
I wonder if Otmar feels the same way today: https://racer.com/2021/09/16/stroll-one-of-the-most-gifted-drivers-in-f1-szafnauer/
That + a double DNF surely wont be sleeping much this evening. Mostly the Stroll comments Im certain LOL
Both Otmar and Alonso are following the Lawrence Stroll creed as in any organization..... to not bite the hand that feeds you.
yap, amateur hour again from the Stroller, it's true that he's able to perform from time to time, but between that he sucks for 20 races...maybe he should brake his wrists again, he seems to dive better that way!
@NeilF8888 Care to comment on Strolls performance or at Hungary2023. He was even lapped by the race leader. Alonso P9 vs Strolls P10
Lance Stroll finished just behind his more experienced team mate Alonso today. Both scored points for Aston Martin.
True, but Norris know leapfrogs Stroll in the WDC standings after Norris's 2nd place finish. Stroll drops a place in the WDC standings.
Of course not. You know as well as I do that F1 is not for the driver "sitting on his laurels." You constantly have to push.
Understood, but Alonso is extracting the performance out of the car as opposed to Stroll. IF Stroll wasn't the driver, could Ricciardo get more points than Stroll along with Alonso? I would say yes. Hence AMRF1 could be P2 in the WCC standings after 12 races in.(11 really because Imola was cancelled)
This is completely hypothetical, isn't it? It's just you imagining a set of circumstances that would suit your preferences. It has no basis for it in the real world. Perhaps you should contact Lawrence Stroll and suggest it to him ?
So you don't think Ricciardo is a better driver than Stroll? If I was an investor in Aston Martin F1, you can bet your butt I would contact Lawrence Stroll about his son.....as I am sure some have already behind closed doors.
I don't keep imagining which drivers teams should recruit. I just watch races. Let Lawrence Stroll decides who drives in his team; he is the boss. And if, like me, you are no investor in AMR you have no say in it either.
