While we laugh at your 'career' in F1 Stroll laughs off F1 to tennis switch rumours Lance Stroll has laughed off suggestions that he is on the verge of quitting Formula 1 and relaunching himself in the world of tennis.
You realize that the drying track was a gamble and that timing was everything? He lost out to a Williams which ran after and put him into P11. Or to put it differently: He beat Hamilton handsomely. For the same reason. It was a lottery.
Race: Alonso P2, Stroll P11... and Hamilton P6 btw. I think any observer could laugh off Lance Stroll's future F1 championship win rumors.
Ferrari is now 14 points behind Aston Martin in the WCC standings after Zandvoort 2023. Aston most likely will fall from 3rd in the WCC standings currently to 4th place in the WCC standings. Ferrari should by Lance Stroll an SF90.....or better yet, a Fiat 500.
Have you ever met or spoken to either Lawrence or Lance Stroll (Strulovich)? I ask how you came to know this information. Are you a crew member on either Lawrence or Lance's private jets? Working in the "family office" with Jonathan Dudman? Working for the Aston F1 team? Let us know the basis of your knowledge, please.
I simply read it on the internet on one of the sites I can't remember. It maybe thejudge13, or PlanetF1, or GPToday, or Auto Hebdo (in French), or FormulaSpy, I can't remember. They were doing an article about the income of F1 drivers in 2022, not only Lance Stroll. .
Look at it objectively. In 2022, Aston Martin finished 7th in the WCC with 55 pts. Lance Stroll 15th in the WDC with 18 pts. So far in 2023, Aston Martin has already collected 215 pts, and stands at the moment in 3rd place. Lance Stroll is 9th in the ranking with 47 pts, which is 2.6 times more than last year ! Should Aston Martin sack a driver who has made such progress and contributed to Aston Martin change of fortune ? I think not !!!
The AMR22 car was nowhere last year. The AMR23 car is MILES ahead of last year's car thanks to Fallows. The car, along with a stronger team-mate other than Stroll, would make the team HIGHLY viable for 2nd place in the WCC standings. You have your way of looking at things and I have my way of looking at things given Strolls 7 years of [cough] [cough] mid-field performance. You can have a 2nd rate car behind the RedBulls but there's only so much Alonso can do to carry the team on his back when his team-mate also has a 2nd rate car but offers mid-field performance.
It's just like any information we are fed by the media day after day. I am sure you believe some stuff you see on the internet. But you may doubt that bit info Stroll because you don't like the guy, perhaps, I don't know. To be honest, I don't care one way or the other.
I think both of you are missing the point - it's not that the arrangement described is not true, it's just that the money allocation within the team that's mostly owned by Lawrence Stroll is artificial... Lance Stroll can get this money because his father is funding the team, no independent team owner would give a penny to him.
The team did a terrible tire strategy on Lance: When the first rain started, they brought Alonso immediately in but kept Lance out. Then finally they brought him in as the rain started to slow down. He had 4 pitstops for tires. The team in an interview admitted they screwed up Lance's race with the tire calls. Despite all that Lance managed to end on P11, the place he started the race from.
You may be right. I don't know the taxation system in Canada, but if it was in UK, an inflated "salary" to a relative could be passed as a way to circumvent the duty attached to donations above a certain ceiling.
So the owners son, who is being crushed by his 42 year old teammate who had never driven the car before this season, is not being let go. Amazing.
Yep. I've debated this issue for the past 7 years. 2nd rate car behind the RB19 but you STILL get mid-field performance from Stroll. Even IF the car was at par with the RB19, you STILL would get mid-field performance from Stroll........it's a never ending cycle.
