He had a few good races over the years, if you care examine his track record. The media only highlight his mishaps, which is what media do, right, and people love someone to hate.
Dont hate-- he is utterly inconsistent and dangerous as much as he has decent races. We know why he is there and there is zero debate about that.
I heard of Stroll's "bad driving skills", but I didnt have facts listed in front of me, untill I watchd this......
A "journalist" in a toy Space Shuttle astronaut suit sitting in a bath tub is just the kinda source I like to get my F1 news from. Hard pass.
Ok, he dresses like a clown, and he is ridiculous, but his claims and arguments are damaging to Stroll's reputation if true. Are his arguments (exhibits) correct or not? Thats what counts, not the bathtub or his dress code.
As an advocate of criticism, satire, blasphemy and caricature, I accept that Mohawk can exist, if only as an exemple of how extreme free speech can become. Not "my cup of tea" though ...
The "meat" of his comedic view is spot on filled with exhibits and articles that tell the truth of Strolls privileged life in motorsport. I take it you like the fact that as long as someone with money meets the requirements, they can "bend" the rules to favor themselves....which I assume is somewhat fair to you compared to other drivers.
I mostly don't understand why so many people are so obsessed with the idea of Stroll Jr being sacked by his father. You should enlighten me about where the Strolls bent the rules, because I haven't seen it. Which rules are you talking about ?
Stroll Sr. bought the Prema team in F3 and made Strolls team-mate(s) let Lance Stroll win by a huge margin. One of his team-mates, Cassidy, led one race at the start of the F3 race only to let Stroll by on lap 2 and have Lance Stroll win the race. The amount of points accrued in his F3 days is so huge that it made Lance Stroll look like an exceptionally talented driver.....which is not the case in his 8 years on F1. Even Russell commented on the Strolls role in F3.
Looking at how he gamed the system in lower formulae makes him extraordinarily suited to the world of F1 which is all about finding the loophole in the regs.
Like I said, if that's fair to you where a Billionare can "game" the system(F3) in his sons favor, then that's your opinion. It ends up screwing EVERYONE else involved. Stroll Sr. even used "illegal" parts on Strolls F3 car designed by Williams. I don't even think Latifi or Mazepin's father "gamed" F3 or F2. It just shows how Stroll Sr. is the "Gordon Gekko" of F3 and F1....using his money to game the system.
Why no one appealed against those results ? Were the F3 organisers not told ? Was PREMA penalised ? Why nobody protested to the FIA ? Which actual rules were broken ?
The critics keep bringing a mountain of accusations of cheating against Lance Stroll, but I don't see any proof that anyone protested by bringing evidences to the FIA that could have surely brought disqualification or a ban. I have never heard of such litigation. As for his driving errors and other track misdemeanours, he receives penalties like every one else.
In other words, you cannot substantiate your accusations. In my world, unless you are condemned, you are not guilty.
