Probably responsibilities are shared (as decided by the stewards) - even by that video one could see that Stroll is not turning as much as the corner (while the regular line - arguably not relevant after the end of the race - would be to turn more than the corner, to go to the apex). Vettel is obviously guilty for having assumed Stroll would take the regular race line, because he could easily have played it safer by staying at the outside of the corner; on the other hand, Stroll was behind and had a lot of space on his left, so he could also have avoided the crash. By the way Stroll's line (increasing the turn radius) is particularly clear from the following car's footage, as shown above.
Let me guess: with this argumentation the crash of Schumacher and Coulthard in Spa in the rain was also Michaels fault... Because he was the one that passed....yeah right
I do not particularly like to dig up things from decades go ..but as you mentioned it: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing-coulthard-cleared-by-schumacher-1197422.html Having said that David did say in 2003 that he would not do the same again..lifting on the racing line in spray..the FIA questioned why Schumi went back into the spray behind David, after David had moved back onto the racing line...
Meanwhile the Stroll's continue on their way https://www.superyachtfan.com/superyacht/superyacht_faith.html
What I said: Coulthard saw that he should not have done that and that he would do different today and Schumacher said he does not think anymore that Coulthard did i on purpose.... Same with Stroll but maybe it will take him also some time to realize that he should have done different and nobody (even Vettel) said he did it on purpose
Stroll was pathetic today at Suzuka 2017. Unfortunate his tyre blew towards the last several laps.....whether that would have made a difference.
Williams more so with the invasion of a billionaire to run the team to benefit his mildly talented child. The bigger joke is Williams along with the ever testing student tourist driver of F1.
^^^ True. Whilst he has had a couple of decent results this year, he has been completely schooled by Massa who is pretty rubbish himself. His presence at Williams is hurting the team more than helping.
Anyone else notice that whenever the NBC team comments on Stroll it sounds like a press release? Never a negative word spoken anymore…
Again, 'nobody's "fan", so, all this Stroll bashing.....what would you (anyone) have done if you were Frank? I suggest, if the money was needed, the decision was better than closing shop and selling....'just saying....
Agreed on the first part, but: The last sentence is debatable: Where would they be without the $ from Stroll senior?
The money pays for Lance on appearance exclusively. The car has not improved. The overt influence of Stroll family does not at all appear to make the team stronger. Other than funding what does Lance offer any team. He hangs on to finish. Show me any outright 'race-craft'. Any.
Not saying he is any good. But I seriously wonder where the team would be without the $. They might be just another Sauber team. The days of Alan Jones, Carlos Reuteman and the FW07 are clearly long gone.
