VERY cool! Rock band has always been a cool party game... I'm also glad to hear that all the DLC from the previous games is portable over to the third
Looks like they're using a 2 octave keyboard. I have 7 MIDI keyboards here at the house + around 20 other MIDI instruments. Wonder if these will work. RMX
I would imagine if the game is based on MIDI triggers (a big assumption on my part), then they would work just fine. The question is... will it crash when using keys outside of the "pre-defined range?" Lol! In any case, I'm curious to give it a try... Like Blue said... it's such a great party game!
It's not really talked about in the original article, but there's a full-size guitar replica with 102 buttons to simulate actual chord and solo fingerings, as well as a "real" Fender guitar. Seems like it might be a good way to learn how to play for some people. http://gizmodo.com/5564594/how-harmonix-is-tricking-lazy-gamers-into-learning-real-instruments?skyline=true&s=i
I know this is slightly off topic, but am I the only one that things 'Green Day' is not worthy of their own video game?
I get that Green Day has some good tunes, but there are a ton of other bands that could be feted here. As a big fan of the band game genre, I actually think the themed games (eg Metallica, Aerosmith) cheapens it, but I admit I love the Beatles version. I have midi keyboards too - this is good news and should be a nice addition!
It doesn't matter what you or I think(I'm 30) it matters that the majority of the people buying this game like Green Day. Although I admit I do like some of their songs.
