Good luck with the sale - one thing I noticed though, the link to your mechanic's email is "probably" a typo, I think it says [email protected] instead of [email protected]

I had to do a doubletake when I saw it, it looks correct at first. :)

All these Europeans are snatching up all our cool cars right now, with their Euro exchange advantage. It's not enough they get more cool cars than we do, now they want to come take what little else we have!

No reserve. Locally I would shut the auction early. I think it's currently around 23,500.

Rodney, youre going to be rich! The bids are already about $5K higher than what NADA considers to be the HIGH retail value of that car. Way to go! Good luck. Greg

Rodney, I'm glad I got to ride in the Indy before you sold it! Thanks again for taking me out to ShadeTree to get my 348. It's run perfect ever since.

So...what you are going to buy next?

I'm having fun watching this, GO RODNEY GO!

Keep an on the feedback of those bidders though. A couple look like they've walked away. Good luck.

Yep I was just talking to a friend of mine who deals Maserati parts. He was telling me that the NADA prices etc. are trash. That the last cars sold have been bringing much higher. Evidently a rather trashy ghibli just sold for 60k.

What really irritates me is that the mistral I had been offered when I purchased the Ferrari is now worth around 60k, the Ferrari is roughly worth what I paid for it.

Rodney, I'll give you this much: You come up with some of the most unique looking cars on the planet. Heck, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Maserati "Indy" until you gave me a lift that day. And this beast you're buying...I've never seen one of those either. Is Robert going to sort it out or is it already sorted?

It depends on which one I buy. I found a perfect one in Germany for upper 30s. So the long story is it's going to involve serious shopping. I am in contact with the EU Lancia Club, hopefully they can spot one for me. I would really like the Zagato bodied version but funny enough from about 5 years ago going for 20s to 30s one just sold @ retromobile for 300k. So the other two on the market have just shot up :-(

So how is the post-auction sale going Rodney? Does it look like the buyer is going to follow through?
