    Is there a meetup place for a rally/run for this event or is this just meetup at the winery? The last ROE I went to was a few years back where everyone met up at SnakePit and caravan'd out from there. I'll be coming from central NJ -- anyone meeting up to drive out?

    I was just looking at the weather forecast for Saturday and it looks like rain. Is there a rain date set just in case.

    Hi nick. I do not organize the various caravans. There are so many groups from so many places, folks just work that out among themselves. Some just head straight to the winery on their own. I know some do meet up at the Americana shopping plaza in Manhasset around 9:30.

    Yes, we go through this each year.
    As of today accuweather says:

    High: 65 °F RealFeel®: 63 °F
    Intervals of clouds and sun

    In 7 years I only had to use a rain date once. I will make the call Thursday.

    Will let you know then. If so, the rain date would be the next Saturday, May 16th,

    You always forget to take into the account the massive thermal updraft created from the heat from the engine bays of the exotics.
    it always manages to push the clouds away & let the sun shine through :)

    What I heard is rain LATE in the day Saturday.

    Unless a major change in the forecast today, we are a GO!

    Many different groups go out from various points. Americana in Manhasset is one. Myabe around 9:30, but can't be sure.

    Absolutely hate to be negative, but if the weather doesn't clear up a bit (less than a 30% chance of rain), I don't think I'm going to make it in from NYC. To get a car I have to reverse back to Westchester, drive through the city, Long Island, back to the city and then back to Westchester. While I've only heard amazing things about the ROE, in the rain, in the car that I'd take, it just wouldn't be enjoyable driving.

    And I'm... out. Headed back to Westchester to pick up the Porsche - everything went fine until I pulled off of the FDR to head to a garage near my apartment and a flashing check engine light came on. Sounded like there were two separate exhaust notes. Didn't feel right whatsoever. Trusty Matt from Manhattan Motor Cars got on the phone and recommended that I park the car immediately.

    Was really looking forward to this event tomorrow too..
