ROE IV, 2006 Update: Running out of room?

sorry guys, as much as I was looking forward to this, I crashed my car 2 nights ago. Looks like Im out of the run.

 

beware....weather.com site is just a straight computer dump of numbers from one of the US global weather models and out at 10 days the forecast scenario predicted by this model will change several times over the coming week.Today the Euro model has quite a different outlook beyond 5 days.

The basic situation is that the east is entering a wetter and still cool period beginning this weekend. Rain looks like a good bet Saturday day and into the night. Another rain event looks likely mid next week followed by a strong cold front and a cold high pressure regime later next week. ROE weather next weekend hinges on the speed of the system behind that high. The US model today brings rain from that system into the northeast US on the 29th while the Euro model holds it off a day more. Way way too soon to judge which model has the better handle. Given the spacing of systems ROE has at least a 66% chance of good weather as it looks now.

 

Don't even think about that.

 

yea, im ok, i might have a slight concussion, but i think everything is alright. I havent gone to the hospital though, im hard headed like that. I lost control of my car and crashed into a pole. Airbags were the worst feeling. Car is at the body shop right now so I dont know if it's going to be considered totalled. I hope not, but who knows. (I was looking at the maser coupe tho). IF it is, i still think im going to get another porsche tho. Thanks. I hope the run turns out great, would love to see some great pics.

The weather is tracking pretty much in line with last weeks scenario given above, but how about 6 inches of rain in parts of LI and CT over the weekend!!

The US and EURO models now coming better agreement that this coming Saturday will be dry and sunny...a bit cool in the morning like ROE last couple of years but nice enough. Sadly an important family commitment has arisen so we will be missing this ROE.
