Gothspeed, They are 19's and quite honestly, the picture doesn't do it justice. I also had a set of Michelin PS2's put on (235/35/19 front, 295/30/19 rear) and they grip like crazy! Pap, I am still trying to keep her. I told my wife that I will be taking pictures and will be posting her for sale but notice how I haven't posted an ad on Ferrariads...hmmmm? I'm trying to hold off for at least a few more weeks. 285ferrari, I do have more pictures but no pics of her lowered YET. I am getting everything readjusted and aligned Fri, then off to a show on Sunday. I will be taking pics there and hopefully posting them shortly there after. Stay tuned.
As far as any issues, there is a little rub when going over larger bumps but this could be inpart to the lowering springs I put on. I'm sure with a little rolling of the fenders, this issue will be quickly resolved. BTW, stand by for more pics. I will be attending a local show tomorrow and will be taking pics then.
Hey guys, here's a pic of ther car after it was lowered. Again, I have to apologize about the pic quality as I lost my digital camera and having been taking pics with my phone. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Took the car to a car show today and it was the star of the show. Granted, most of the vehicles there were WRX's, Evo's, Mustangs, etc but with the new wheels and lowering springs, everyone flocked to the car. Man is it hard to even consider selling this thing. Here's the before and after. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Will gets some pics of the lips but as a general idea, the wheel lip sizes are 1" in the front and 1.5"s in the rear. I didn't want to go to big as I'm not much of a fan of the oversized lips especially on Ferrari's. Ken, unfortunately, when I sell the car, the wheels will go with it. Let me be the first to tell you though, those wheels are a show stopper. I went to two local car shows today and at each place, EVERYONE loved not only the car but the wheels. They had me parked the car in the front at each event and people took plenty of pics. If you are interested in a set of ROH wheels for your car, be very prepared to wait at least three months, regardless of what the company you are buying them from says. I was told 6 weeks but of course, such was not the case.
The wheels are 8" in the front and 10.5" in the rear. As for the tires, they are 235/35/19 in the front and 295/30/19 in the rear. I am attaching some pics at the show this weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
wmr20 Thanks for the info, the car looks great!! I have a black/black 95 and I am in process of deciding on wheels. I am almost decided on a set of HRE's only issue Im up against is going to 19 from a stock 18. A few guys have recommended to not go to the larger size, and that it would be mandatory to roll the fenders as not to destroy them. Thoughts always welcome
romanos, Quite honestly, I did not have any problems with the 19"s before lowering the car. Adding the 19"s, I drove on a patch of road in my town notorious for being bumpy just to see if I had any rubbing issues and I didn't. The next step was adding the lowering springs. I conducted the same test and low and behold no rubbing again. It wasn't until I took it on an hour and a half drive on the highway did I notice a slight rub but, this was due to a very large dip/ undulation in the road and...I was going about 90mph. Would rolling the fenders aid in this instance? Most likely but it is so much of a non issue that I probably won't roll the fenders unless it becomes more of a problem. As far as getting 19"s, I know there are a lot of purist out there that will convince you not to get them but the bottom line is that you have to get what you want regardless of what others say. You could have your mind made up about the 19"s buy the 18" and regret that you didn't go with your gut instinct. It also depends on what you plan on doing to the car. If you are going to track it, then yes, stick with the stock 18"s for track days but if you want a nice looking car with nice wheels, I say definitely buy the 19"s. Let's face it, we are all individuals here and want our possessions to be a reflection of who we are. If standing out amongst a group of people who already standout is your thing, I once again say go for it. Remember, conformity will only lead you in the direction everyone else is going in. Make your own path. Hope this helps with your decision.
Hve you done any mods to the shocks?? I went for a 'spirited' drive last night and I am starting to notice during some big "undualtions" the shocks feel too soft when doing higher speeds....
Shocks/coilovers/struts are old and will probably need rebuilding to get back to orginal condition goth. P.S-I am still drunk man.
Goth, No change to the shocks and at higher speeds, there is no "floating" effect. If you lived closer, I would let you take my car for a "spirited" drive so that you could experience the difference. Wil
