Hello guys, I'm Italian living few miles away from Maranello. A guy I know works at factory. The Roma Spider is ready. He said is nice. Soft top with rear glass. He shot a picture of the car in order to show me the roof design, but I have to leave the country and I couldnt see the car unfortunately...of course he will never send me the picture. I dont think spider can be nicer than coupè, with closed roof at least. And I decided to buy coupè (rosso Portofino), couple of days ago. Q3 or Q4 this year, expected delivery for Europe. I can't wait to drive it.
I will wait for it . Not always coupe’ is better than roadster. I have a Mercedes AMG GT roadster and I find it much better than the coupe’ version . I will wait for Roma spider even if I’m very happy with my actual solution : Ferrari 812 sf and Mercedes AMG GT Roadster
Roma spider launch March 15 in Marrakesh. Invites going out soon. Murmurs already started What Marcel said. See above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m happy to hear that . There were people saying it will never happen , others it will never have a soft top . Both will be real soon
My dealer in the UK is taking orders from customers who have ordered at least one car from the factory - normal deposit of £20k. Official launch is in March
Looks like a photoshop of picture 20 from here: https://www.caranddriver.com/photos/g33961619/2021-ferrari-roma-drive-gallery/
Even though photoshop, this looks great. My biggest gripe of the Roma has always been the triangle c pillar. I prefer straight or curved.
I'm actually more worried about how it will look with the roof up. I don't want it to look like Isot's render. I want it to look more like a Jaguar F-Type's convertible top, or a 250 GT California's for that matter, both of which allow for a flat trunk. I don't want it to have the coupe's roofline in convertible form.
Sorry for my english, guys, I am doing my best: "Portofino M orders stopped few months ago. Will come Roma Spider instead. Soft top is back!. Engine still V8, it may be with extra power over the 620 hp, Still with 8 speed clutch".
Interesting that the only production v8 will be the Roma s. Porto m should be done sooner versus later.
How will this affect Porto prices and desirability do you think? I have a 458 Italia but am looking at a Porto as my main car but I am concerned the Roma soft top will trash the Porto market ?
